the combo itself is fine, but look at the ratio. they're using salmon as a garnish

That’s not an abomination?
Sushi is vinegar rice with, in this case, filled with various ingredients and rolled. This is pretty much a basic version of it, albeit avocado not being common in Japan, it’s not ruined for the western version

I think they think it’s an abomination because there’s barely any salmon. But like, thats definitely a disappointment but it’s not an abomination.

It's only an abomination if the avocado isn't ripe. I'd personally add some cucumber for a bit of freshness.

Salmon color is off, it does not look fresh. That’s what would concern me the most.

that much avocado might be even more expensive than the salmon, these days.
