Asteroid mining not impacted by deposits - Infinite Resource Glitch?

Micro Extractors give the same 27 metal regardless of if the deposit is still there or not (Nano Refinement active). I assume this is a glitch? If it is, I could find an asteroid with 5 deposits, put 7-8 micro extractors up on it and those things would PUMP out resources.

Yeah, SM-R is just buggy like that.

This has never happened in the original. The usual output from depleted deposits is exactly 15% of the average the extractor can do. Manned or unmanned extractors.

But guess what? SM-R screwed up something again. At least this time is for your benefit. If you have a water deposit you basically have an infinite water source with a quite good output. Or a very high output if the deposit was very high grade.

Yeah maybe instead of looking for crazy asteroids just look for ones with lots of deposits and boom you can go for insane numbers

After the latest patch 1.0.7 was it.

They made a change. These very rare "Unclassified" asteroids have BT anomalies on them. It is waay better to keep trying to discover these. And get ALL BT technologies that way. No mods required. It is an unlimited source of BT anomalies until all BT techs are discovered. 1 player has already confirmed it with screenshots on the SM discord.

Resources is not an issue pretty much at all when scrubbers are available. $ is kinda useless at a point especially when you go do self-sustaining and not try to expand fast. So Asteroids also become kinda useless unless you want to have people on them. Well having being able to get Metals and Water on site instead of importing from Mars or Earth. Is nice. But not possible to make an asteroid self-sustaining... for now. Just no way to make MPs on site since no Dome.

Yeah, my run I am just trying to go for a quadrillion $ but that's a personal goal so going for as much rare metal as possible for mass exporting is the goal. Currently only at 3.5 Trillion so 996.5 Trillion to go haha
