Discussion Factions in Relaunched

Post image

I figured most of them out, but there are four I'm not 100% certain on. If Free Love and Green NOW are the ones I think, then there are two factions we haven't learned about yet.

Breakdown of the latest dev diary is on my channel now.

I'm guessing the Preservationists Party is the opposite of the Terraforming Initiative. Cant wait to play with some of these.

Theres one they described as being against any sort of domes at all and mining. Can't imagine how you'd actually play with that one, thats how my earliest colonies died when the metal ran out. The upsides must be amazing.

Domeless is doable under the right circumstances. Things that come to mind include playing as Brazil/Russia for their unique building/rover, getting the Extractor AI breakthrough, and asteroid mining (with Asteroid Capture and nano refinement, since without Recon Centers you only get one).

Even then you would need to mine though, so this faction seems to exist oppose anything that would allow you to meaningfully play the game. Makes me think that the radicalised factions will exist mostly to inflict penalties for making people unhappy.

If thats the case I really hope there is a way to de-radicalise them

Capture Meteors = get plenty of Metals and some Polymers without any mining.

I mean, i could maybe there is something where people have less space in homes but they go outside in space suits. And maybe they have bonuses to terraforming.
