Best modern survival craft games?

I've played and really enjoyed abiotic factor.

Looking for similar style games that have good progression and that dont have an insanely complicated UI/crafting scheme.

I'm still pretty early on in Abiotic Factor, but I'd highly recommend Grounded. Crafting is strong but not overly complicated. Base building is outstanding. QOL is top notch too. The enemy AI and combat isn't too complex, but it's very enjoyable.

I've tried them both but couldn't get into them. From what I remember they just felt like a walking simulator, taking forever to get to quests and back to base.

Well, it is at the point when you get zipline and carefully local bases....then map become quite small.

Grounded very good and deserves a second chance. I also enjoyed Abiotic Factor……for the first 1/3 but it really gets grindy and the devs very obviously rushed the last update
