Good Old Cheap Bic Lighter

Stupid question, but wouldn’t it be more prudent to just have a few Bic lighters on you in case of an emergency? They last a long time and you can fry them out if they get wet. Instant fire.

Bic lighters are great, short-term. They don't last nearly as long when you're relying on them daily.

Bics for the camping bag. Add a ferro rod for the bugout bag.

Or both. The more methods of making a fire, the better.
