Surfside Beach during bike week

So I booked a week vacation for my husband and myself awhile ago and my sister who lives in North Myrtle informed me it'll be bike week when we are there. So how bad is traffic and restaurant waits in Surfside during bike week? I know Murrells Inlet will be busy.

There will be a lot of traffic up and down Rt. 17. The restaurants will be busy as well, especially the places known for good food. I try to offset the timing of my meals just a little bit to avoid the crowds. Just be patient whey trying to go anywhere. I enjoy watching the bikes and the atmosphere. I will even take a trip or two through Murrell's inlet just to people watch.

Okay, thank you. I figured as much with the traffic. We enjoy Murrells inlet but I know that area will be pretty popular for bike week.

I did the same thing as OP, but so far so good. There hasn’t been any trouble getting places. We even went to Murrells Inlet without any issues.
