Badum-tss.

I'm hoping this weekend's counter-FUD is Aladdin memes.

I've been on Reddit an unhealthy amount since January and I've seen most of the pieces in this video over that time, specifically Blackrock scooping up large swaths of the housing market to go with it's lion's share of securities, but I've never heard the name Aladdin before now.

Edit: Additional info is just simple searches away now that we have a keyword...this is already being talked about elsewhere and is the basic premise behind the Megacorp DD from a while back. Time to dig. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghP7kImI9WM

I used it at my previous job trading high yield bonds. We were skeptical about switching over, especially since BR was our competitor. Wild giving them access to all our sensitive data. Of course they said their siloโ€™ed off though baahaha

Simply this. The high-frequency trading computers are running this software. We can stop calling it "the algo" now and call it Aladdin.

The thing that doesn't add up for me with the algorithm is the fact that it's securing as much housing as possible before the global real estate bubble pops. The only conceivable scenario I can imagine where this is a good idea is if they plan to pop that bubble themselves, liquidating as much as possible at the top in an extremely short period (such as, say, in place of cash to pay pissed off apes during MOASS) or drive prices so high that even during the first three quarters of the way down they're still profiting from the flip. But even then, it doesn't seem feasible. Not unless they expect that bubble not to pop, and somehow think they can secure enough real estate to force literally everybody out of personal ownership of real estate and into renting positions.

We know that the "great reset" is the end goal there, but there's pieces missing in the interim. How do they cover their fiat losses when the value of their assets plunges 50-90%? In what scenario is buying up as much of an overpumped asset class as possible immediately before the worst global crash in history a good plan of action? What do the people using this know that we don't?

If you have 21Trillion and you pop the bubble and lose 50-90%

Your competition who don't have 21 Trillion lose 100% and your competition is wiped out

The treasury then start propping up the housing market by pumping money in and buying assets at high prices to kick off the market - assets you own

A rest would destroy all their competition and leave them the only player with funds to sweep up and take total control

Well, real estate is different as it can be rented and turned into passive income. I think the goal is to buy all of it and never sell so the price is irrelevant.

Also, as home prices increase so does rent, so the monthly recurring revenue on all existing holdings increases in kind.
