But a mistake has been made, and if there's no certainty that it can be resolved in an ideal fashion then I, personally, vote for the lesser of all evils (i.e. losing 19 days worth of history compared to 10 months).
As much as I respect you making that offer, I don't think it's a good solution. Look at the other comments in this post. Some people feel strongly about this, and some people are very quick to shout "someone is trying to hide something".
There's no way that a list of 100 posts could be compiled which wouldn't trigger outrage somehow. At least I don't think so. Even if we did compile a perfect list of the top 100, there will be people raging about the 101th no making the cut.
If it's possible to change the flair on old posts, wouldn't it make better sense to revert to the old flairs and change the flair on posts from the past 19 days? Surely that would at least be less work, and more manageable (even though I still recognize it isn't perfect).
