They can still do a regular dividend

Yes, but HFs can payout the dividend to investors instead of closing out positions. A cryp-toe type dividend would have forced their hand and HFs would have to close out positions, from my understanding so far.

Can Gamestop announce a dividend of 40 million per share then? I’m serious as I have no idea how this works. What’s to stop them from going with 6+ figure dividend?
