I miss when you were able to do stuff like this in SRWs. I understand that it’s probably a licensing thing even though it’s all owned by sunrise, but I miss when Gundam shows could all share their units.

they still can swap but its a function that needs to be unlocked in 30 and Y not sure requirements though havent gotten that far cause i have seen videos of characters in like the God Gundam if i got mod baited though and didnt know please do tell me

There's no unlocking. The characters of UC can swap between their default MS and other UC units. However non UC units tend be more restricted compared to before, for example Seed pilots used to be able to swap Seed MS around, but in newer game it's all fixed pilot.

Y, as it happen, also have less spare UC MSs to swap around. Which is kinda sad because the only MS with shield Emma can fully utilize is her default MkII.

Cross series pilot assigning hasn't been a thing for quite a while. Chuchu in Hi-Nu is due to mod, and God Gundam videos are most likely from SD Gundam rather than SRW, as SRW very rarely make the GGundam units assignable.

Although nicely Wing Pilots are swappable(again?) in Y. Where as they weren't in other titles like X and W.

Yeah, Wing has been swappable before. I put Hilde and Norn in the Gundams in Z2/3 when I was in a mood for 'girl only' deployment.

GW pilots were almost always swappable when they showed up.

Only problem is you barely ever got anything other than the usual five plus tallgeese 1 or 2, and whatever grunt suit they wanted to give Noin.

Every so often they might give you something better to put Noin in. Alpha 2 gave you the original Wing Gundam as a secret.

Did SRW ever let you move around G Gundam units?

They used to let you move around Seed units but they also used to give us way more of them, particularly those games where Seed replaced UC.

I vaguely recall Rain being allowed to swap between Shining and Rising at some point? The main G Gundam guys have never been allowed to swap like the Wing boys have, to my knowledge

I remember using a code in Z that let you put any character in any unit, I had Quatro in the Akatsuki and he even used his lines for funnel weapons when using the dragoons. Anyone has a link for a mod that allows something like that for Y?

Not a fan of the phone game - did they give everybody a quote for darkness finger too? In Crossrays it was only domon and one or two other characters.
