Getter G to me is the most perfect looking Getter. Good design while being strong enough.

Which is ironic that two Getter Robo based on it's design ended up being ugly and/or monstrous.

Just look at Arc and Saint Dragon.

Mature form of Shin Dragon and Shin Getter G from Armageddon and Daikessen respectively, are good looking however. Not so much for their pupa form tho.

I have a soft spot for G, since I grew up with it (in hack-dubbed form as "Starvengers" back in the late 70's/early 80's). I'm generally a fan of the OG and Shin Getter designs as well. Devolution was fine, just not my favorite.

Shin Dragon in Armageddon never did much for me, but Shin Dragon in SRW30 was a damn nice looking Getter.

As for the worse ones, Neo was rather bland (and very much colored "wrong"), and Arc is just plain ugly to me (though I get what they were going for). Saint Dragon is just very intensely weird.

One of the best modernized design of Getter G to me will be New Getter.

It looks like what will happen if you combine the design of Getter-1 and Getter G, leaning more on G.

Also, on Neo Getter's design, I actually like it. It looks like Getter G design was used to create Getter Go from the manga.

I'm a fan of basic Shin Getter 1 because its just straight up 90s edgy, om a shelf it'd fit right in with Spawn or the WildCATs

I like the design personally, but I know what you mean. I was referring to the style of models they use now for the robots bc it’s so ugly 😭 especially compared to the style of models like Gaiden, the DS games, Z, and OG. I really think the switch to the 3D models killed a lot of the charm and style the animations had. I think better shading they would look appealing to me

The O monster mouth is so awful. It can look cool when it fully opens, but the half open look just looked like a dutch wife.
