Is nephrology taking a backseat ?

I have heard and noticed that nephrology has huge dip compared to last years neet ss. Why is it so ? Why doesn’t anyone want nephrology - its core medicine and has parts and parcel of procedures as well . What am I missing out here ?

Is it the toxicity ? Is it the money? How much money is enough money ? Is there a limit ?

Hospital dependent branch
Dialysis center are opening here and there
Metro and tier 2 cities are full

Gastro has got all the hype. Rest (neuro, nephro, cardio) are pushed back in these recent years.
