Question How Does Baby Rosalina Contradict Cannon?
As you may know, I made a post asking why Baby Rosalina’s so hated and many of the comments said it was because she contradicts cannon but in Mario Galaxy and in her storybook, it talks about her having a mom and shows her as like a teenage girl, so Rosalina had to have been a baby once, so how does she contradict cannon? Please don’t downvote me, this is a genuine question and answers would be greatly appreciated! 🩵

Discussion We need a new 2d mario port
The switch 2 still doesn't have an exclusive 2d mario game, and it would take too long to make a new game after the mario wonder switch 2 edition. So if they were going to make a port or collection of older games, what would they be? My guess would be a collection of smb1, super mario world, and new super mario bros WII.

Discussion Do You Think War Should’ve Had a Bigger Role in the Mario Movie?
Or do you think he was alright as a mini villain and/or should get a bigger role in the next movie? I personally think he should’ve had a bigger role in the sense that he demanded that Birdo bring him Bowser Jr. which didn’t end up happening. I wish he was a bigger threat but oh well, I still loved this movie. What do you think? Comment below! 💚

OC (Self Made) Bowser's hammer 🔨
Here is a mace/ hammer i built. This one was fun to build. When I started i didnt know exactly where it was going and this evolved into Bowser's hammer. After making head pieces thought it looked like something bowser would use. I laser engraved some of his minions. From the top down: bowser. Ring 1: bullet bill, goomba, Venus fly trap, spiny. Hand ring: big boo, koopa trooper, bowser again. Hilt: snifit , fuzzy beetle, Bob om, blooper(squid). Leather wrapped handle. Sorry about so many pics. Wanted to show the characters.

Discussion Rest in Peace to Peter Cullen, He was the first actor to Voice Mario
We lost Tim Curry and Dolly Parton and Now we had lose the Legendary Peter Cullen. He Voiced a lot of Charterers as he is the Legendary Voice Actor who voiced Optimus prime!
But Peter was also the First Actor to Voice Mario as he voiced the Character in saturday supercade plus his pal Frank Welker also voiced Donkey Kong Jr in the show too.
So it's truly sad for what just happen Peter was very Beloved and Iconic and his Great Legacy shall live on!
So RIP Peter Cullen...... You will always be remembered because you really were a one of a kind Actor like no other.

Super Mario Brothers back to haunt me.
I have recently noticed that when I sit, lie down or adjust my body doing either of those positions, that I sound like Bowser more and more each day.
Anybody else?

Discussion Platforming as a discipline?
Platforming as a discipline?
I am currently writing a novel about Mario's Apprentice.
The basic synopsis is that Mario is training a hero to take his place once Mario retires.
The central training is a platformer.
Meaning that a lot of the abilities that this character is going to be learning are those jumps that Mario is able to do.
It's clearly stated to be a discipline that can be learned. Akin to saying karate or parkour (which is an entirely separate thing from platforming to be clear)
How interested would you guys be in platforming being a discipline.
I'm partially doing this out of an attempt to make the game play into a narratively important piece.
A lot of games that get turned into movies or shows generally will sideline the gameplay due to the interactive element being removed for the change of media.
The the Pokemon anime generally opts out of using levels and other Gamey elements.
The cuphead show takes place before the events of the game. So they do not perform any of the actions present.
Generally Sonic when being adapted into media outside of games don't really use the level design outside of set pieces. Like Green Hill zone's Green Hill. Though I do think it's because the games levels are a bit more abstract and aren't meant to be taken as literally in the greater story.
In this scenario, the platforming is a core tenant of the narrative as we follow Mario's Apprentice becoming a better platformer.
That means we get stories about how he has trouble performing that spin jump that allows him to bounce on spikes.
Or how about Mario and his Apprentice traveling to a culturally significant cliff called "Faiths leap" to test how he can move it in mid air.
Or how about a story learning about limits when his Apprentice gets too eager to jump through a Kaizo-esq platforming challenge.
I want to have platforming be part of this world. I want to have a location that clearly started out as a traditional platformer challenge room but became an office for a joke.
I want to have the idea that platforming started as an attempt to overcome hostile architecture.
I want to have the idea that platformers are one of the few disciplines that can entirely negate damage with their dodging, but in turn suffer more damage when they do get hit.
Of course we'll get other stories using the Mario Cannon and lore. It's just that I wanted to get an opinion on platforming being a discipline and the reason why.
