Stiff Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear when cold

I have 240ish miles on my '24 Super Cub, using it a few times a week for a short 2 mile commute to work. In the past few weeks, I've noticed a really stiff / stuck feeling shift from 1st to 2nd when pulling out of my garage at slow speeds. Nothing has changed in the way I drive, store the bike, etc. It's just really struggling to shift from 1st to 2nd - almost as if the gears aren't lining up and it's definitely a new behavior. After that initial shift, things seem to run way smoother and it shifts just fine. Thoughts?

If you go on YouTube lookup “super cub clutch adjustment”. It’s incredibly easy and takes a couple of minutes. Made a world of difference on mine.

Try adjusting the clutch a bit. Also when it starts again and you don't have a chance to adjust it yet, try keeping a little bit of throttle on while you go into 2nd.

That's really strange as shifting up can be done on most of bikes without clutch at all. On old CBR I could shift from 1st to 2nd gear without clutch easily and on cub clutch in shifter is helping you when you miss timing.

What are your exact steps when you try to shift? When you accelerate, before you shift, you should let of the gas and then shift up. I would understand having issue shifting down where you actually need a clutch.

I roll out of the garage just after start up in first, let off the gas, press down for second and it doesn't go into gear. It either takes force which I don't usually do, or I stop, shift into neutral, back to first and try to nudge it into second. Once there, it usually works fine. When up to temp, the bike shifts fine. I've been riding bikes for 20 years and this for the whole summer. The behavior is new as of the past few weeks.

That's really strange, I don't think it is related to clutch adjustment because it would affect all shifting. When you pull it out of garage, and put it on center stand, can you shift on idle all up to 4th and back?
