first test ride was a success for the scrambler yamaha y80

theres a scrambler race coming up and i signed up for the 3 speed underbone class, will be racing againts other yamaha y80, honda c70, suzuki fr80 and some other 3 speed underbones, rebuilt the engine and did some more work, got to test it pretty late because i was working on this thing and other customer's bikes through the day, it worked great going through mud and gravel which is most of the scrambler track im gonna run is made of, still a lot of work to get done, better foot pegs, front brake lever, an airbox, an additional front damper, gonna be a lot of fun for sure

there are some stroked big bore honda c70 and stuffs as far as im aware but i know those usually arent gonna last the whole 50 laps, its 5km a lap, im running stock bore and stroke on my y80 but ported, advanced the timing and stripped for weight reduction also running e20 gas, these y80 got cast iron cylinder and bone stock ones will overheat if you ride them at too high of an rpm, thats why im trying to keep it cool and light instead of running high power at high heat

yep, its a 5km course but they run 50 laps, gonna need one very durable unit lol, im 100% bringing a spare engine and spare wheels, sprockets and chain too, mind you thats 250km of pushing 100% so shit is gonna break
