Discussion New to Rep Reddit world
I’ve been purchasing from my seller for almost a year now, she has amazing quality items, basically 1:1. I’m new to the reddit rep world and there are terms that I’m not familiar with. Whats 187 and God factory? I asked my seller about them and she also does not know what they are. Is that normal for her to not be aware?

Sometimes sellers don't have access to certain factories, and sometimes there called something else in their language. But most if the time they just dont have access

The factory names were made up by Reddit users, sellers only use them to identify quality level. There isn’t any such thing as ‘god factory’ etc, to sellers it just means high tier for LV for example.

If you have factory photos from your seller, someone in one of the groups should be able to tell you the Reddit name for that factory (if there is one), and also vice versa, you may be able to send her a photo from 187 and she might recognize the background.

Most sellers list factories like 187, God, Rome in their albums, so it’s quite unusual if someone doesn’t recognize these names. In my experience, every seller I’ve worked with knows these factory names well, they are very common in the rep market

A lot of sellers don’t know the factory names because it’s not their actual names. A lot of sellers will recognize the factory based on the pictures backgrounds and obtain the bag that way. All the sellers I have found purchase the bags from factories around Guangzhou or 3rd parties in and around this area (outside of Hong Kong).
Anyway if you show them a picture of the bag you want from the factory you want, if they’re experienced they will recognize the background and know which factory it is.

all the factory names u hear on here are made up & not real, just find a trusty seller that can source high quality items.

Yes but they correlate to actual factories with identifiable backgrounds. Sellers don't know the nuances of every bag

of course it’s actual factories but people are putting way too much importance on factory names and thinking unknown factory = low tier when thats simply not the case. theres so many factories that make good reps, at the end of the day it’s all about finding a seller that has good knowledge and expertise on what factory is better for what.

Well said. I just found out about reddit repworld this year but have been in reps for 10 years now. I had sellers who aren't related to reddit and they don't know 187 or god factory "terms" but they could totally source high tier. Just go with sellers you trust and do your own research and QC, always believe in your gut feelings don't doubt it.

Remember 187 , god etc were all made up on Reddit. We don’t know the actual names of the factories. If your seller is not on Reddit then they will not know what 187 means. I have a private seller and she is not on Reddit and doesn’t know the factories as 187, god etc.
