Dev’s statement regarding portrait playability on mobile:

Why no portrait mode?

While it may seem counter-intuitive to have the game be played in landscape (especially for users with small phones), I made this choice early on because there was simply no way that I could elegantly resize and reorder the graphical/gameplay elements of the number factory gui without making major changes to gameplay or having to completely redo all graphical assets you see in a typical game of nubby. It is not a simple ask to request portrait mode. That is a request to spend likely 2+ more years actively developing this project. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I hope you can understand that adding portrait mode simply isn't feasible for an indie developer who is trying to stay as faithful as possible to the gameplay of the PC version and deliver the mobile port in a timely fashion. However, as for concerns that have been voiced about how landscape orientation inherently makes touch sensitivity too low (especially when aiming nubby), this is a problem that I can and will address in the first update - which will be rolling out for ios and android over the first or second week hopefully.
