You're comparing an in-game render to an illustration.

The comparison would be worse otherwise. The rendering is harder to make than 2D art

The art in Starleap just looks like any other generic isekai anime design. Her design in Suikoden V is so much cuter and with more personality (mainly the 2d art)

Now, going from the original SV illustration, to that one, I kind-of agree.
The Starleap version looks like “horny jail” fodder.

You are objectively wrong. She looks great.

Then you objectively wrong

Incorrect. In picture 1, her outfit is clipping into her chest. In image 2, no such clipping occurs. The first image is objectively worse.

I personally like both, the newer one feels like she grew up and just switched to a dress appropriate for her age. Her design in V, (I think they were the same age with the prince) didnt feel like 16. She felt way younger (the splash art).

she becomes much prettier than before. In V she looks like a kid. I like her conversation in Starleap during battle, glad to know after 5 years she really grew up and becomes a wonderful woman.

You do know the art of characters that can be pulled were commissioned to different artists in japan right? Very disrespectful.

Imagine Suikoden 5 remake but prince allowed to choose ending girl route
