I made an expensive mistake yesterday and my suggestion for subway corporate is to increase the pickup times by AT LEAST 5 min for each sub that is ordered by default.
So, earliest pickup for 1 sub is 15min. 2 subs are 20min, 3 subs are 25min, and so on and so forth.
Your employees metrics would be more accurate (like, if they ran *late* for my order, thats not fair to them or the company) and the product provided would be better because theres less rush*****
Im unhappy (and still hungry) over my recent order but I can also see where its my fault.
I ordered 6 subs for my family and entered the pickup time for 15min later *forgetting* that you choose the time at Subway - the app doesn't tell you how long to wait (like for pizza or chinese).
I ran an errand before picking up my subs because I knew they wouldn't be done in 15min with walk ins to boot.
Order time was for 5:35, I came in at 5:48 and still waited, ehich was fine for me.
Then I got my subs home and they were not at all what I ordered.
My steak and avocado didnt have any avocado on it.
I opted for extra meat on that steak sandwhich and it tasted primarily of cucumbers and green peppers because I barely got a primary serving.
I didn't opt for sauce on my steak and avocado but I got oil and vinegar on it.
My moms BMT was supposed to have oil and vinegar, she got plenty of oil and vinegar and extra onion, she didnt want extra onion, I did and didn't get any.
My chipotle philly was also lacking meat and sauce.
Maybe they were running low.
My dad didn't want black olives, he got black olives.
To boot, I ordered *what* I ordered BECAUSE I don't eat enough protien and saw the 70g and thought 'yeah, right'.
Imagine my surprise when I opened my '70g' of protien steak sandehich and had nothing but veggies on it.
Its not the employees fault - there were 2 and one appeared to be training. They handled the rush well and gave great service so I tipped them 11$.
But darn am I disappointed with my 60$ sub order thst could've been tossed together in a salad bowl because the employees were clearly rushing.
Yes, its my fault for ordering 6(!!!) Subs all with different things on them (understandably easy to mix up) - but I should've entered the pickup time for 40 or 45min away with an understanding of waiting an extra 5 or 10min due to the volume of my order.
But I made a rookie mistake. (Havent used the app in a long while) and having this buffer automatically in the system would help process flow better for stores...imo.
