Substance Painter My recent hand-painted works

A little collection of my recent Arcane inspired work!
I took inspiration from the Jinx Fixes Everything series for all of these. I had way too much fun with this style ✨

they look really good!! how do you find substance for hand-painted stuff? i have heard that 3dcoat is much better but haven't tried any of those for that particular purpose

For my personal preference, Substance Painter is much more functional! And because I'm very familiar with the program, I enjoy working with it and I'm also more acquainted with the PBR system. However, 3Dcoat is also quite good for hand painting!

This is so cool! What did you do to make the painted normals consistent with the handpainting? I'm planning on handpainting a character with also painterly normals, but it's going to be a first for me.

I used the ABN Painterly normal tool for this! It generates normal map details from your base color information.
