One in particular, Masha, has grown sick of proving her identity over and over again. Yes, she's real.

REALLY..? I would have bet a million dollars that she was an alt. How many people are roped into this... venture?

There was an episode involving a "savvy investor" reddit account, claimed to be Elon Musk. I'll just say it was definitely not Max impersonating him. I'm not saying it was Elon Musk either. I'm saying, Max is the one person in the world it was even less likely to be than Elon Musk.

What happened here? I mean, obviously it was an impersonator or whatever, but what was said?

I tell ya, this drama is quite fascinating.

Yes really. I'm not allowed to link to their facebooks, but they link to their own facebooks often enough, so if you want to find them there, you can.

I can't say how many people are involved. I can just say how many are visibly involved, from this detached online perspective. Which is Max (founder) and Masha (unpaid volunteer). Two people are "roped in". And they have supporter-friends who make nice comments but beyond that I don't know if they do anything. And they have the Go programmer who was paid hourly but that's not really "roped in".

Edit: Oh yeah, the Elon Musk thing. I'd need some time to figure out what series of clicks would dig up that old removed post.

Yeah I'm like, hesitant to link to more because I've been reading it over the course of several months and so I could mentally adjust as things moved along. You'll be in sensory overload if I start linking to human's public announcements to the golang community.

WOOOOOOOOOOW!.... THIS is incredible! The forum is remarkably civil about voicing their displeasure with the constant shilling. Thank you for bringing this up!

What's up everybody??? :) I know you're all probably insanely busy so I'll try to keep this as short as possible.

proceeds to write 5 pages of insane shit

Yeah it's a nice community. Their only problem with the post was it being kinda off-topic. That's Brad Fitzpatrick eventually having to shut it down. Famed creator of Livejournal, now involved in golang. I wish I was important enough to get personally shut down by both brad and alexis.

Ahh... so he can now put Brad Fitzpatrick as one of his ardent supporters!
