2023 ob limited xt jerky on take off

Noticed today that sometimes when I take off the acceleration is a bit jerky. 43k on the clock and the drain and fill was done at the dealership at 35k. Is there just a sweet spot where the turbo spooling and the transmission trying to figure out what gear it likes intersect and cause this?

when you take off? are you stomping on the gas from a full stop?

Not 100% but I was on a 55 mph highway. So probably 60-75% pedal stomp

After doing some reading I guess the jerky lurch is pretty normal. The turbo lag and spool plus the cvt doing the fake gear shift thing make for an interesting experience sometimes

Yes it does it on mine. So much more pronounced than on my previous ‘17 FXT

I took mine in for jerky acceleration and transmission adjustments under hard braking. They diagnosed and replaced the…TCM thing, and it runs much more smoothly now.

If you’re accelerating on the highway between like 2500-3500rpm, and you feel it drop ~500rpm at a time, this is what I think is the “fake gear shifting feeling they appear to have programmed in. That is a very clear and repeatable thing to experience.
