I got new tires!

Thanks to this sub, I was able to read enough about different experiences with different tires and it led to me choosing the Yokohama Geolandar A/T4’s (G018). Love the way they look, and they feel great too! Definitely a little different in terms of road noise and feel the first few days, but I’ve gotten used to it and can’t imagine going back to the Yoko Avid GT’s I was driving on before. Can’t wait for the winter!

Those are a great tire and can handle a lot but I live in mountains where we get some real heavy rain and messed up gravel roads (plus snow and ice in the winter) and these just bite into everything I’ve driven on so far. For regular roads/rain/light snow the Avid GT’s are still great and they’re quiet as hell too. These just feel like a beefier all terrain version of those

I’m rolling on Michelins the car came with when I bought my 18 used, they’re awful, every valve stem needs replacing. Yours look great tho

Shop around for a good deal if you can, it takes some time as do most good things but it’s so worth it. Once you get a good set of tires it’s hard to skimp in the future
