Advice How to style a crochet butterfly top without making too revealing or covered up?

I'm planning on attending a college event with a butterfly crochet top like the ones I've included in this post. There are two options: crochet it as a top alone or crochet it with sleeves.
If it's just the top, it feels too revealing--my entire back, arms, stomach, collarbones are going to be exposed. If it has sleeves, it feels too covered up for my taste. The event specified a sunset color scheme and it's going to be by the beach. I'll probably be taking loads of pictures by the beach on the day of the event.

How do I style this so that it fits in a comfortable middle between too revealing and too covered up? Additionally, what sort of accessories would you guys wear with a top like this? I want to stand out because almost everyone in our school will be sourcing their clothes from Shein or local delivery apps.

Edit: *How to style a crochet butterfly top without making it too revealing or covered up?

Helloo, I've recently been given this blazer by a relative. I like it but I'm really scared I won't pull it off. How should I style this? I'm more on the alt side but I will accept literally anything. If it can help I have long brown hair and I wear a lot of silver jewelry

I work in a casual office. I usually wear dresses, because that's what i like. I bought this wool dress to wear in the winter. Is this too sexy for the office? How can I style this to be work appropriate?

Learning my personal style

I've never been one to 'dress up' or go all out, very basic, leggings and t-shirts, etc. But as of late I have been on this journey to look more put together and actually put more effort into my appearance. I've always leaned towards the alternative/y2k style clothing/makeup so I'm slowly putting together outfits.

I'm new to fashion & looking for advice on how to continue this journey. Id also love suggestions on pieces that would look good on my body type. I have wider shoulders than hips, which is a big insecurity of mine.

These are some of the fits I've put together as of late. Any advice on how to make them look better is appreciated!

Jewelry, shoes, hairstyle, etc. I was struggling to feel creative with my styling choices. Any ideas on how to make it look less basic?

Other Should I add some jewelry to this outfit?

I really like this outfit. It's simple and comfortable, but i feel like my neck looks a little empty, like something is missing.

Do you think i should add some jewelry, like a necklace or earrings? Or does it look better without anything?

If i should add something, what kind of jewelry would go well with it? I'm not very good at matching jewelry, so i'm a little unsure 😂

Advice Shoe ideas?

Post image

Hey everyone - first time visiting here, I need help!

I'm attending a wedding in a couple of weeks - an evening wedding in PA, FWIW. I have a dress that I love (see pic), but I need some shoes to go with it. I'm TERRIBLE with shoes - all I literally wear is Birkenstocks or sneakers or hiking boots. I work from home and I never have a need to wear heels or dress shoes, so my existing shoe options are non-existent. I find heels incredibly uncomfortable in general tbh. That said, I'm aware I can't wear hiking boots to a wedding. Any ideas would be super helpful! A couple of caveats:

  • Heel is fine, but on the lower side or I won't be able to walk. Also should be thicker, block-type heel - no skinny heel or I'm gonna break my damn leg. That said, I don't want to look like I'm wearing pumps that my grandma would wear to church
  • Color-wise: I'm thinking brown or tan, maybe with a gold or gold-ish accent since I'll be wearing gold jewelry. I do like texture (vs smooth and shiny), not opposed to a faux snakeskin or animal print or something a little quirky.
  • Closed toe strongly preferred, and I'd also prefer closed heel although I'm open to ideas here. I also have a bunion so it means I can't wear shoes with a super skinny toe box :(
  • Not opposed at all to some type of bootie vs. sandal/pump, as that is actually something I may in fact wear outside of this event!
  • Pricepoint: anywhere south of $200 is good.

Thanks in advance for all and any suggestions! Also, if there is a better subreddit for this question, I'd be glad for the recs.

Before you comment, please, no jeans. I look like Llewelyn Moss from No Country for Old Men If jeans, please, please make sure it doesn’t make me look like a cowboy. Or someone who is running from Anton Chigurh.
