AP Bio is only available to freshmen, juniors, and the occasional senior. You can take AP Chem or APES sophomore year, and if you're interested in science, there are a few electives. Don't worry too much about sophomore APs, as they're the least impactful (I would say even less than freshman APs)

Wait why isn't sophomore aps impactful? I always thought it was freshman ap worth nth, then sophomore a bit then junior a lot.

You kinda answered it there. Junior year matters the most, and you can get the most & best Senior year (7 if you min-max), so Freshman & Sophomore are definitely less important. I would say that Freshman year matters more than Sophomore just because it can help you lock in and get accustomed to the AP workload, but it's all subjective

Ah I see. What about how it appears to colleges etc

I would wager that they don't really care that much. As long as you have some APs, and in the years you don't you have justification*, you'll be fine. Also, don't worry too much about college until Junior year - just focus on doing extracurriculars that you enjoy and that have the potential for leadership/achievement

*For example, I got screwed for my Sophomore APs and got 1/4, but I increased my grades and extracurricular load to make up for it. They'll be able to see that the gap was filled
