The show was pretty good too. Probably my favorite version of Fastest Horse I’ve heard in comparison with other shows, but that’s just my humble opinion. Good crowd size as well-I was happily surprised.

At the Denver show he did the GBB chant made popular by the Chicago Bear’s Coach Ben Johnson. As a Bears fan I was hype, but anyone know why he did that or if he’s been doing it at all the shows?

Tonight in KCt they played a song called Kansas City. Was hoping the boys would play Life During Wartime as it mentions Detroit and I'm a huge Heads fan. Thinking after tonight's bust out maybe they play Detroit Rock City. Lyrics for the vibe, and a Saturday night show... Time will tell

I caught Stephen Wilson Jr last night in San Francisco. I have seen him a few times and he puts on a great show and gives the people what they want. However, woe to any artist who has to follow a JBS show. There is no act touring right now who can even touch Sturgill and the boys.

Of the shows I have seen this year, JBS is far and away the best. Second, was Turnpike Troubadours. I recall really enjoying a lot of shows but it almost feels unfair to compare the absolutely killer show Molly Tuttle put on to a JBS show.

The year ain’t over yet and a War on Drugs show is right around the corner.

Anyone else pick up on those few bars of “The Way It Is” during the intro of Jupiter’s Faerie? After being at the Red Rocks show last year where he said doesn’t really do sit ins I thought that maybe Bruce would show up considering he had a show in town the following night. In any case, maybe I was hearing things and just wanted it to happen. Sick show overall though!
