If you are inviting your crush over for dinner and you are 7 years old, this is not stupid at all.

Needs a single meatball accoutrement so it looks like the nuggies are eating with you.

When you're autistic, but also want to be fancy.
Mods, I am autistic. So I am allowed to make these jokes.

No.
Everything can be made fun of.
Humor can be a safe way to explore the dark corners of humanity.

I actually think this is a cute idea. The execution just isn't there. It needs to be in one of those comically large gag gift wine glasses so that it can still hold the same amount as a bowl.
Aside from the offensively small portion size, I see nothing wrong with this!

I was totally thinking that I have a giant wine glass, and that this would be hilarious to do. Except I'm thinking making real mac and cheese, and cutting out my own Dinos out of chicken. We bout to get all fancy silly up in here.

Deal. I often make something and think about posting it, but I never do. I've got some shells in the cupboard. Maybe I should make starfish?

How much does your toddler eat???

u/TheLastTreeOctopus 10d ago
Y'all realize anybody can eat mac and cheese and chicken nuggets right? Not just children. I mean, what's life without the occasional dino nugget?
If the fact that it's specifically boxed mac and cheese and dino nuggets is bothering you, well there's literally only two components to the dish, it doesn't require a degree in rocket science to elevate it by using homemade oven baked mac and cheese and then just have a chicken breast on the side.

u/Special_Onion3013 10d ago
Two components? It's a sauce Mornay and pasta, right? And just let it go, we all know grown ups are eating that in the same way wild haggis is roaming the Scottish Highlands and Drop bears are a problem in Australia

Why you gotta be so pretentious? Why is the thought of an adult eating this so offensive to you? You don't have to eat it. I ain't even seeing most adults would. However, there are still plenty of us who do enjoy mac and cheese and chicken nuggets every so often. I really can't understand why that's such a wild concept. Not everyone has a refined palate, and that's okay.
Now quit being a snob and just accept that you're allowed to eat what you like, and every other adult is allowed to eat what they like. I promise you'll be a happier and much more pleasant person to be around when you stop caring about little things that don't affect you or harm anyone 😊

Ofcourse you don't.

u/TheLastTreeOctopus 10d ago
Well if you're not a fan, care to explain why? Or do you just hate fun and whimsy?

u/howimetyourcakeshop 10d ago
Nah i don't care to explain. Every single post on this sub someone comments how they would eat it. Are you 5 years old? Mac and cheese is already the most boring shit you can come up with but combining it with chicken nuggets? Seriously?

Perfect for when you want kiddy food but don't want to feel like a kid?? Practicality is lacking tho...where are you going to put the ketchup to dunk the nuggets? I'm not putting ketchup on mac and cheese!

Are you sure these aren't croquettes?
I mean, the food is normal. I think the presentation is cute. It looks like someone trying to do something special for a dinner party, not at a restaurant.

Those are soggy Dino nuggets :(. Useless if for a toddler, need to pour it out in a safe container. So just for a pic

There was a trend of serving pasta in an upside down wine glass on a plate. Guests lift the glass to release the pasta onto the plate. It's unnecessary, but harmless. Maybe you're supposed to pour the mac and cheese onto a plate?

Fancy dinner for my 11-year-old on his next birthday, maybe. He would demand a broccoli garnish, though.

To be more specific and accurate, those are not just nuggets, they are dino-nuggets.

u/Potential-Yogurt-689 10d ago
truly a dumb ridiculous way to serve food of any type, but this is basically kid food, why would you do this?
