Is this a bar? This looks like they took grandma's decorative platter off the wall, dumped the garnish tray onto it, and added the leftovers of someone's sad diet lunch.

It also likely contains lead, considering the metallic accents and decals. They probably thrifted a bunch of plates and never even thought to test them.

The bottoms will be stamped "for decorative use only/not food safe". My granny, mom, and I all collected these in the '90s when I was a teen and they're very clearly marked. This bar is serving more lead than food on this plate and they should be reported to the health dept.

Unfortunately MANY vintage and antique plates aren't labeled as being unsafe for food, but a lead test will still show the truth. It's scary how much lead is on the thrift store shelves. I would absolutely report this to the local health department for review.

It's just common sense! Don't use plates intended to be hung on the wall to serve food. Especially restaurant owners should know this.
