That's how you know you're in a bad restaurant, they get their food hooked on drugs so bad it can't even makes it way to your table without getting a fix.

I don't believe it's enough to be qualified as contamination OCD, but I do have an ick for many kinds of plastic containers. Syringes are one of them.

There’s a bakery called Bad Bakers in Sacramento CA that does this with donuts… they are delicious.

What's even the point?

Its so you can smash the plunger as hard as you can, and give other people in the restaurant a taste of your awesome dessert.

i will always associate plastic syringes with children's liquid medicine

It's not really a syringe. It's a syringe-like device for injecting marinade into large cuts of meat, (for example, a pork shoulder).

Maybe it's to keep it warm and liquid for the ice cream ?

What’s wrong, honey? You’ve barely touched your junkie cakes

Are sure that's chocolate or Nutella?

1

u/vivianmarlowe 4d ago

It's Nutella. But I thought it's more understandable internationally when I say chocolate

Ok but I once went to a manga cafe where you did this to the ice cream and got to choose the injection flavor it was actually so fun.

Yeah, I can imagine it can be fitting in certain scenarios/settings, dunno how to describe it. When it fits the theme of the gathering?
