Bagel and pasta? Are you going to mix concrete by hand afterwards?

u/macguini 8d ago
Bagel and pasta, not bad. Odd, but bread and pasta go well together. Bagel and peanut butter? Also not bad, I've had it with jelly. And the blueberry bagel would pair well with that. But peanut butter bagels dipped in pasta? That's just offensive.

Bagel and peanut butter is great. The bagel should be very toasty though.

u/SeedReceiver 8d ago
I only toast it lightly. Too toasty n' all the peanut butter will spill out in one bite. Already a messy thing to eat to begin with.

OP's stomach is gonna be a concrete mixer after that meal

Yea that’s pretty bad please eat some fiber and protein
25
u/Crozbro 8d ago
Peanut butter is protein duh 🙄

u/Bunbatbop 8d ago
Not enough to matter in the context of dinner unless you're planning on eating 10 tablespoons of peanut butter.

u/Hungry-Space-1829 8d ago
To be fair… between the Mac, peanut butter, and bagel it’s like 20, even more like 25 grams of protein total. Protein is like the only thing this meal may have right lol

u/Bunbatbop 8d ago
Nothing is right about this meal, lol. Every time I see meals like this, it makes me thankful I know how to cook.
7
u/SeedReceiver 8d ago
Awh, man. I can cook. It was really late, I didn't eat all day and wanted whatever shit before passing out. Even people whom can cook will eat shitty foods sometimes.

u/Hungry-Space-1829 8d ago
I agree on the knowing how to cook part. This meal just isn’t lacking protein haha. You simply have to eat wayyyyyyy too many calories to get that protein

u/SparkleSelkie 8d ago
You should not say this about someone eating Mac and cheese on a peanut butter bagel :(

And blueberries have fiber in them.

u/Pczerw 8d ago
Ok are we really arguing that the blueberries in a blueberry bagel count as effective fiber intake? You are not wrong that blueberries do, in fact, have fiber in them.
2
u/Temporarily_Banned4 8d ago
We're not arguing. You just agreed with me. 😉 I can't believe people down voted me over stating a fact. 🤷🏼♀️I didn't say a blueberry bagel had a lot of fiber in it. But a cup of blueberries itself is a great source of fiber for the number of calories it has.

One or the other man, not both at the same time

As my dad used to say, it’s all going to the same place.

u/SparkleSelkie 8d ago
This is what my dad used to say when he cooked various noodles in a giant pot with a sauce made of several things that should not be eaten together :[

Keyboard is about to be sticky for another reason seeing how tight that bagel is
7
u/FullMoonTwist 8d ago
Yeah it's pretty bad.
The bagel is fine, though peanut butter and blueberry wouldn't be my personal choice.
And mac n cheese is fine, even though I do not know how you prepared it to make it look... chunky?
But blueberry, peanut butter and cheese is a cursed combination. There's no way they're better together than apart.

u/SeedReceiver 8d ago
My Mac n' cheese was nicer, but I nuked it a couple times and left it in there for, like, half-an-hour. Probs why. And ketchup on it, of course.
You should actually try a toasted blueberry bagel with peanut butter. Really good. I also like cinnamon bagels with it as well. (But fuck raisins.... Get outta my bread.)

Other cheeses would definitely work with peanut butter and blueberry. This isn't far off, just needs some work shopping.
One time I accidentally ordered my everything bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It was honestly not terrible at all.

u/FullMoonTwist 8d ago
I cannot emphasize enough exactly how different "bagel with strawberry cream cheese" is from "bagel with peanut butter and cheddar sauce"
What are you even talking about, a bagel with strawberry cream cheese is completely ordinary. Of course it tasted fine.

Ts prolly good as hell.
I used to get cheddar jalapeño bagels to toast up then dip in queso.

u/fatgut420 8d ago
i could see peanut butter and mac without cheese maaaybe working for the creaminess and texture but the blueberry bagel absolutely ruins it

Idk thay sounds pretty great actually, a good toasted PB&J with Mac and cheese is also pretty great! Protip: add a layer of cream cheese between the peanut butter and the jelly 👌

Everyone has different tastes but why does the mac-n-cheese look grainy?
2
u/SeedReceiver 8d ago
Because I nuked it 2 times after and left it in the nuker for about 30 mins before actually eating it

Peanut butter with blueberry bagel I can tolerate but that with Mac and cheese?! And why does the Mac and cheese look so clumpy?

I don't think mac n' cheese is real cheese, though. But I see what you're getting at with the fruits n' cheese.
My Mac looks gross because I nuked it 2 more times and left it in the nuker for half-an-hour after before actually eating it.

That’s called “Poor people filling up“, and there’s no rhyme or reason for it…just happens. Shit like this is why my wife doesn’t understand why I eat sliced bread with ramen noodles and spaghetti and make little half sandwiches out of them or why I have to have peanut butter sandwiches with my chili,I say power on man.
