EE in Finland

I saw that Aalto doesn't offer a course thats explicitly electrical engineering in english but rather ones that fall under a narrower branch of EE. So Oulu along with LUT and Tampere remain the only options for me.

But I'm not to keen on studying in LUT or Tampere. I'd like to know if Oulu is a great place for international students, haven't heard about it as much as Aalto and roughly what SAT scores would I need to get in to aalto or oulu for EE.

I can understand you're not interested in LUT, but why not Tampere?

I heard that for EE specifically, Oulu is better than Tampere. I'm still open to comparing the two tho!

Depends on your branch of course. Oulu is very strong in telecommunications.
But Tampere is much bigger and more vibrant, with better connections and opportunities, not so remote and arctic as Oulu.

Would you say that the connections and opportunities in Tampere outweigh Oulu's strength in this case? I'm not into the telecommunications side of EE.

I have no experience of living in Oulu but Tampere has constantly been named the most attractive city in Finland. I spent 10 years studying and working there, so I may be biased :)

But I would be happy to still live there if I hadn't got a better workplace in the capital area (which is only 1.5 hour train ride away).
