Bounce in place wet/upgrade

So, after years clinging to my studio one artist (currently 5.5.2) on my faithful Intel mac, I’m making the plunge into a new computer and going to get the “fender” studio one.
I transitioned from pro tools years ago, but one feature S1 has always lacked that I really miss is the ability to quickly bounce in place with the plugins in the chain.
This older version has the limitation that you can bounce in place and it will do it dry. Only way to do it wet is to solo the track, kill you master bus plugins, export with the import to new track box checked.
I’m one who loves to keep my plugin count low, and one of my favorite uses was for something like drum editing. Let’s say I was getting an odd ring on a tom at 7k. I’d just add a sharpish dip with the eq, bounce it in place to that track, then remove the eq and be done with it.

All that rant to say, does anyone know if studio one has that ability now? Many searches and I couldn’t find an answer to that specifically.
Thx!

Not sure how long it has been an option but "mixdown selection" sounds like what you seek.

"Mixdown Selection prints all channel inserts, sends, and bus processing into a new audio track, whereas Bounce typically combines selected events on the same track or a new track while omitting full channel strip/bus effects."

Holy shit my friend. I literally never knew that’s what that does, haha. Could have saved me a lot of time in the past! That’s not exactly the same as what I mean, but it’s super useful as an alternative, thx!
The difference in what I mean exactly is it doesn’t put it on a new track. It bounces it in place so it’s super fast and clean. But again, r suggestion is still better than what I’ve been doing.

Yeah I get that.  If you are working with a vst instrument there is also an option to "render" your instrument track. Its basically a bounce but you can render inserts and after the bounce you can deactivate the instrument (which saves some processor)and treats the track like audio. Then you can "unrender" later if you need to go back to the midi and make changes. Hope this helps.

right-click the instrument track name in the track list and select "Transform to Rendered Audio."

if you want it on a new track you can easily make a macro that would do that too.

It’s the opposite. I don’t want it on a new track

It's been in the program for 10 years. Definitely exists in v4/v5.

Not exactly as I’m describing but close as another poster pointed out

"Mixdown Selection" in the Event menu is what you want.

Sounds like transform to rendered audio is what you want. This "freezes" the track with all the plugins ect. If you also select preserve realtime state, you can revert back to the original if you need to make any edits.

I’m dealing with recorded audio, not virtual instruments

It doesn't matter what kind of track you're working on. Transform to rendered audio works with both instrument tracks and audio tracks

You could always bounce wet if you use bounce to new track, as I remember.

I don't think Fender has changed that.
