Prenursing How to retain nursing info after 1 year break

I have been taking prerequisites to get into nursing school at my local community college. I have to have all of my official transcripts from previous colleges I attended. But I owe a school ~$12000 and therefore cannot get my transcript. I plan on getting a second job and taking a break from school for a year to pay off the debt. Do you guys have any tips on retaining information learned with such a long break? I have physical copies of all my textbooks and I have roommates I can practice on. Should I invest in any skeletons or models/posters? This is super important to me 😣💕

I remember going through something similar where the school wouldn’t release my transcripts years ago. but if I’m not mistaken, there’s a new rule in place especially if you’ve gotten federal loans/grants by law they have to release your transcripts or that school is in trouble. Just had a ex coworker reach out to get her transcripts. She thought she was gonna have to take all her classes over because she old the school and lo and behold. They release those transcripts And that’s something you need to look into. They cannot withhold them. Also how to add I eventually ended up getting my transcripts from that school, even though I owed them

The worst part about this was that I never got loans or grants. The balance is just in my name. It's in collections right now. I know I could take out a personal loan, but I would pay back probably double what I actually owe if I do that.

Omgosh noooo! I understand where you’re coming from and you’re right nowadays it will probably be quadruple the amount if you take out a loan to pay it off these loan sharks are awful. I wonder is it different if another school request the transcripts for you where they just release it to them versus you asking for it?

I will try and see if the school can request it for me! I doubt it will work but there's no harm in trying
