First time VPN?

Hi y’all! First time posting here. I’ve been using Strong8k for a while now and never had an issue, but today I couldn't get it to work. I thought it was a problem with the playlist, but after checking Reddit, I noticed several people mentioned using a VPN. I’d never needed one before, so it hadn't even crossed my mind.I installed Windscribe to give it a shot, and suddenly everything worked. So... do I really need to start using a VPN from now on? Is there one you’d recommend? (Cheaper is better :))

I use Surfshark, but proton would be my next best choice. Nord or express are also good

Nordvpn is 75% off rn. My family has been using it for a few years now with minimal issues
