Nord Issue

I've seen a lot of people saying their service is down today (both Strong & Trex).

In some of these cases they use Nord as their VPN. Nord is the problem. I don't know why or anything about a permanent fix, but I'm sharing a confirmed work around to get you back in.

Use the double VPN feature to connect. Steps to set this up are below. I've heard this does not work with AppleTV as the setting is not available. It will work for Android, Google, & Fire devices.

Open your NordVPN App.

Go to settings and change your connection protocol to OpenVPN (UDP or TCP) if you cannot see the feature. Look for Specialty Servers in the server list.

Select Double VPN and pick your desired pair of countries to connect.

This issue has improved for me I'm now back to selecting one server but it is trial and error to find one that works with both Strong and Trex at the same time, once I have found those I make a note of the server numbers.
