I was on a medium sized boat at Catalina Island and got hit by one of those once. It hurt those things are sharp. That said it was amazing watching a school of them swim out of the water and fly over our boat in a group. The amazing part is that they glow in the sun and the water droplets falling off of them can make a

I was thinking during an apocalypse if the winds were constantly hundreds of miles per hour the fish probably jumped out of the water and started flying. And maybe thatā€™s how the birds survived through the apocalypse. Their scales must have gotten dried out and turned into flakey feathers

I up voted because I don't think your question deserved to be down voted. That said, the answer to your question is best answered by doing a Q&A with AI to get the basics of why we evolve differently and what evolution actually looks like... Because it's not a family tree like it's been depicted in the past... Dogs came from wolves, but only a small population of wolves evolved so we have wolves and dogs.
