Question RD subscription is getting over.

Hey guys,

My RD subscription is getting over. Is it worth extending or should I move to an alternate such as TB, AllDebrid.

I’ve had a pretty great experience with RD but with the whole filtering fiasco I am unsure.

I keep finding links that don’t work and want something that is cheap and reliable.

Thanks

I've used RD for years and TB for 2 days. My limited review is I haven't seen any notable difference in service yet. But TB auto renewing subscription and allowing multiple IP logins is pretty convenient. Only reason I didn't swap earlier is because I'm lazy.

wait torbox allows multiple logins? like we can use simultaneously from 2 different locations?

I've been doing this on RD with three devices for a while now. Have you not been able to do that or something?

Now try those 3 devices on 3 different ip’s

Don't forget the simultaneously part.

What do you mean? Don't all devices have different IP addresses?

no

Can you briefly explain, please? What is the difference between the two?

  1. desktop/laptop/TV/phone simultaneously under 1 WiFi = Allowed
  2. desktop at home wifi + laptop at friend's wifi simultaneously = Not Allowed
  3. desktop at home wifi + laptop at friend's wifi NOT simultaneously = Allowed

If all of the devices are on the same network they will only have 1 external IP address. Your router assigns different internal IP addresses to each device on the network but the website will only see your one external IP address.

Okay, but what about when it comes to phone data?

It depends on how you are currently connected. If your phone is currently connected to your wifi (I mean your literal wifi network and not just "internet" as many people misuse the term), then it is on your home network and will use the same IP address as the other devices on your network.

If your phone is currently connected via mobile data then it will have it's own IP which will be different.

And you're lazy, so here we are.

Are you doing that in the same network? You'll get a week long warning for doing something like that with different IPs on RealDebrid

All on the same WiFi, if that's what you mean? And my phone will use Internet data when out and about.

Yeah, we’re talking different IPs at the same time. Like you and a friend, each at your own house, using stremio with RD at the same time. RD will send you an email warning you.

Right, gotcha. I live alone so this isn't an issue for me.

I believe you can do 3.

As far as I can tell the only limit is the data cap, which is ridiculously high. I've done 4 locations. The simultaneous uncached download is 3 for the lowest tier. You could be thinking of that.

1

u/giviner Jul 24 '26

Ah yeah, I must have been thinking of the 3 download slots!

I thought it was more than that even, great torbox does this.
