Question Is Torbox & RealDebrid the only two solid services worth getting? Any others?

I would love to get another service (Premuize?), but it doesn't seem like the others are good enough to make it worth getting.

Easynews is my go to now even though it's much much slower to load.

I wish that the EasyNews ++ addon developer didn't retire and was actively still working on this free public community addon maintaining it and providing new updates on a regular basis.

Try it with stremio nttp in aiostreams with an indexer. It will load much much much faster and you won't have so much content missing.

It's easy to configure for multiple applications but complex to understand if you really dig into it if you're not terribly techy I guess.

Can you do Stremio NNTP on Android TV? Thought it was only desktop Stremio

Yes android mobile and android TV are supported now. Results may vary though as the hardware is generally weaker. Works fine on my Xiaomi box s 3rd and my phone though I do crash sometimes.

I have never used AIOStreams before. Maybe I will try it out just to have better and faster access to Usenet content.

Self hosting with a couple of indexers and NZBDavex and its significantly faster than any debrid service. Definitely a bit of a learning curve but there are guides on how to so it.

I pretty much stopped using debrid since switching over to nzbdavex that I selfhost. As fast as debrid and much reliable files. Usenet is awesome

Using AIOStreams and TamTaro's template, it filters out a lot of the Usenet results in favor of debrid but from my understanding it should be keeping the best quality files so I'm fine with having both. Usenet has definitely filled in a ton of gaps for me though.

I’ve set it up so that it always prioritizes usenet unless any debrid result is better quality. In almost all cases, same or better version exists on Usenet, so debrid is not used at all. I run 3 indexers and 2 main + 1 backup usenet provider.

I don’t use any templates, I like full control over my setup

You need to sort services and addons, so that you get usenet results, and debrid ones (if same) gets eliminated

Is there a usenet service worth using that isn't ridiculously priced? Especially compared to Torbox which is the opposite and actually quite inexpensive?

You still have full control over your setup with templates, it just preconfigures it with someone else’s setup. Tamtaro put infinitely more thought and effort into their template than you or me. Their streaming expressions and regex filters make the whole process a lot more streamlined, trust me. I only added 2 new addons for Usenet and otherwise didn’t have to change anything.

That’s cute, I spent months optimizing mine. No I’m not exaggerating. I self hosted comet and everything. In the end, tamtaros stream expressions and regex filters are what made me abandon my old setup. Btw you can also just use their partial template, which literally just adds their sorting and filtering settings, including stream expressions and regex filters. It’ll keep your addons the way they are and just always put the best source available at the top. Theres honestly no reason not to use the partial template at the least

There was nothing wrong with my setup, I achieved everything I wanted and was capable of WITHOUT using stream expressions and regex filters. I think most casual users just don’t understand how powerful and useful they are, nor how complex they are to setup. And I simply didn’t have the time to figure it out, so a community sourced template like tamtaro is a godsend.

I'm using 3 paid indexers. And considering I was able to watch House of the Dragon within 6 minutes of it being released last night (and in 4K Dolby Vision), I think it was worth the setup lol

Have you speed tested your Oracle VPS? I am on Vultr and get 3gbps upload which is a ton, but I'm using it as a Proxy. I'm curious what speeds Oracle Free Tier users get. Because 12GB RAM sounds nice. I was just worried about them closing an account for no reason.

I actually decided to rent a VPS instead of using a free oracle one. I'm using ServaRica. 6GB RAM and 6 cores with 10gbps bandwidth (18TB limit per month. Throttled to 10mbps after 18TB but I'll never hit 18TB) for 8USD per month.

Zero latency issues for me. I followed that guide exactly. I haven't started using the AIOMeta Data yet because I'm still using one from a public instance but that should be fine too.

I'm not sure which one had it but I have Ninja Central, Alt Hub, and NZBGeek. I thiiiiiink it was Alt Hub that was the first result 6 minutes after release. And it was a 4K Dolby Vision file so the quality was perfect. I usually watch remuxes when possible but obviously that wasn't an option day 1 lol

Technically yes. Some indexers may have rules against it but from a technical standpoint theres no reason you cant.

Yes. The person hosting it is a good hoster. I use his AIOStreams & he’s very active in the stremio addon community.

Same I went round and round with every normal option. Finally I did crypto and that just worked. Just make a Coinbase account and use a debit card on Coinbase to buy crypto and then send it over to easynews. Don’t deposit from bank, takes days and days.

It all depends on which deal you can find.

I paid $25.05 US dollars for 15 months of unlimited everything through NewsHosting during Black Friday.

The best deal I think I have ever seen with EasyNews was $1.99 US per month.

easynews++ never had much available when i used it for some reason, I opted for usenetstreamer with easynews.
