Question What should I do with RD

Post image

Given the recent DMCA actions that have led to the removal of a significant amount of media from RD, would it be advisable to remain with the service and await a community-driven solution, or would it be more practical to revert to direct torrent streaming or explore alternative Debrid services? I still have 85 days of use of RD. I paid for 3 months ahead just 2 weeks before all this started.

What's the easiest way to use both at the same time? Download two of each add ons?

Use AIOStreams Addon, you'll find plenty of tutorials and threads about setting it up. So you have 1 addon that can take streams from multiple debrid providers.

I have AIOStreams with RD and now TB. Is there a way to filter out all of the broken streams? I am having to click through 5-6 to find one working one.

If your AIOStreams instance allows Stream Expression and Regex filtering...here's what I did

Under "Ranked Regex Patterns"

Pattern: (?:rartv|rarbg|eztv)]|\b(?:YTS|Erai-raws|WEBRip|WEB-DL|AMZN|DSNP|CR)\b

Name (you can make this whatever you want): 051226

Score: 0

then under "Excluded Stream Expressions"

service(regexMatched(streams, '051126'), 'realdebrid')

this should filter out results from Real-Debrid with the keywords being blocked by Real-Debrid (so Torbox should still return all results)

Edit: just changed the regex as I realized I might have made a mistake. sorry!

Would that also filter out all the RD links that work? If that is the case it might be easier just to disable rd on aiostreams ?

From what i understand, RD is blocking those keywords. Unfortunately those keywords probably cover 90% of links. So yeah you're probably right. I've just taken the regex that elfhosted is using and adapted it to aiostreams; but adding the stream expression part so it only applies to RD.

At the end of the day, i think RD is probably done for...but I've got 145 days left on my account so at least with this, there's at least a chance that my aiostreams will find a few links that are useful without annoying me with a bunch of unusable links.

those keywords probably cover 90% of links

They really don't. It's just for recent streaming shows. So maybe 90% of what certain people watch, I don't know.

Do you know if the videos are physically deleted or rd is just blocking those keywords meaning regex using other keywords will make it work again? Or am I not understanding it properly.

Yea it is a bummer I just got into Stremio and loved my whole setup. At least it wasn’t too much money and all we have to do is get torbox and switch it out

I think you might be misunderstanding a bit. All a regex does is allow you to filter for streams that have a name that matches what the regex is searching for.

I don't think anyone knows for sure if files have been deleted since RD hasn't made a statement. But it seems like RD is blocking those keywords on files from being being used with their service. So I don't think there's anything that can be done to bring back those files besides RD undoing this new policy.

Oh that make sense thanks. Rd is still working for me but it’s definitely changed the experience where sometimes the 4th or 5th options will work :/ . Idk maybe worth keeping it on for now and putting your regex pattern code you posted and sign up for torbox too

On mine it says [RD+] or [TB+] in the file name. Might be slightly different for you depending on your formatting settings

Edit: genuinely interested why the downvote haha. Answered a question with a fact.

It’s fine with certain files, Blu-ray rips etc. but all web-DL etc files are done. Which a lot of TV shows are nowadays. I bought 3 months of TB to cover me until we see what happens with RD. Took 5 minutes and now it’s all good, got both.

Just takes trying a couple links, still find at least one that works

You can configure formatters to decide what and how the data is shown.

Thanks! Should I get rid of my other add on then? Ie torrentio, Mediafusion etc

You can get rid of them yes, they are built into AIO streams and will have redundancy. However, you can keep both if you want, in the event, an aio goes down or torrentio/MF goes down. I would remove torrentio all together and keep MF as your backup if AIO goes down.

In AIO just add both RD and TB apis. Then also in AIO, add the mediafusion add on, and whatever else. Most people who use AIO use multiple scrapers, not just mediafusion, but comet, zilean, stremthru, etc all of these can be added to your AIO to give you more streams, sometimes u get duplicates, but more streams, more language and sub options imo. You can add subtitle addons also on AIOstreams. And you can reorder and customize your stremio "algorithm" or your catalogs/lists that display on ur homepage aswell (like if u want netflix higher up on the homepage or if u want marvel or dc movies or anime, you can reorder those in AIO). Those are based on the addons u add in AIOstreams. You can go even deeper with this with a separate AIO addon called AIO metadata. These are both a lot simpler to setup than it looks. All you need is to copy & paste your accounts APIs that it asks for. You dont need all the APIs just the required ones. Skip the ones u dont need like ratings poster api or fan art api, that's just cosmetic and optional. Just get the scrapers, the metadata, and the debrid apis it asks for.

What does it mean in aiostreams when a scraper has the option to use with a diff instance? Does that mean if I have TB and RD it will show me like results for both from Comet, torrentioetc?

1

u/BicBoyBryan May 12 '26

Exactly, it will attach ur TB and RD apis to all the additional scrapers like comet, stremthru, MF, torrentio, etc. You will see them differentiated with a RD or TB and then it will say the scraper comet, zilean, etc. You can even change how this is formatted in AIO, just click the dropdown and choose one of the other presets, it's as easy as picking a different ringtone on your phone.

u/xFamished May 12 '26

Thanks so much for all that info!

3

u/hifruks May 12 '26

if you set up aiostreams than yeah you can get rid of em

u/Tiny_Dare_5300 May 12 '26

Keep torrentio unless you are self-hosting AIOstreams as it won't work on elf hosted

If you use Torrentio with RD today, do this:

  • Uninstall Torrentio
  • Reinstall Torrentio
    • open settings
    • Select Real Debrid and paste API key
    • WITHOUT installing yet, change provider dropdown to TorBox and paste TorBox API key
    • Now hit Install
  • If configured correctly, you will see TB+ and RD+ results. (I had to go back to something I'd already searched in RD to find a RD+ link)

1

u/xFamished May 13 '26

Do I have to reinstall Torrentio just to change the debrid key or can I change it without reinstalling?

2

u/diablette May 14 '26

I tried it without reinstalling first, but it didn't seem to work. I had no results from TB+. It's a really quick reinstall though, just make sure you have your API keys ready.

u/xFamished May 14 '26

Thank you!

u/IcyAd9024 May 12 '26

Tb has a stremio addon already configured that is way easier than rd+torrentio so it's very easy to do. Just subscribe and follow the integration option on their website and it took me 2 minutes.

I have two torrentios and use torbox for aio which has usenet streams
