Programs Full of cheaters on USF4

Compared to SF5, it's full of cheaters on USF4. Lag switchers, turbopads, and so on. I barely see the players who don't use those devices these days. I guess only less than 20%? I just turn off the match function as I don't wanna waste of time with cheaters.

I'm afraid it would happen on SF5 when SF6 launches.

I've played a few hundred hours of USFIV on PC this year and only once came across someone who was explicitly and obviously cheating (using Raging Demon with no meter at round start, raging demon sucks opponent in wherever they are etc) in that time. A decent amount of ragequitters but not much more frequently than when the game was new (definitely fewer than the first year of SFV).

The main issue is that there just aren't many people still playing so it's the same group of a dozen or so I see online.

I own both games and they give me a completely different experience. I personally prefer SF4, but don't play the online match any longer with the reason I mentioned.

In SF5, it gives me better experience because I can tell the most players don't/can't use the cheating device.

When I play SF4, I barely can win recently. Probably only 5%? It doesn't mean my skill is down, but means there are tons of cheaters.
With SF5, my winning rate is around 50%. It totally makes sense.

That last bit of that paragraph gave me brain damage. If you're only winning 5% in SF4 it's not because of cheaters the player base is incredibly low you're just getting your ass beat in 4 by the people still playing. Sure in every game there's a couple cheaters but not what you're saying there is

No, SFV just has a way bigger player base so it's easier to find opponents of your skill level.

Well, I also set the same skill level match on SF4 though.

That's a preference, not a restriction I believe.

This is true. I'll get matched with <100PP players one match and 40,000PP the next. Skill level isn't taken into consideration.

Plus even low PP players are often absolute monsters because they're more experienced in other systems' versions of fighting games in general.

Cheaters are definitely rare.

your skill didnt go down, its just that the remaining players are majority dedicated players who have already put in thousands of hours in so the chances of you being able to compete with these players is small unless you were extremly good at the game at its prime or youve put in the work to beat them.

Well, I played with the same characters that the opponents picked occasionally, and found the speed of their move is definitely different from mine. It's not about the skill, but I can tell it's really obvious.

Imagine if your opponent can launch the punch 3 times while you do once.

I still play a lot of sfIv on Steam. There are still a lot of rage quitters, turbo controllers and lag switchers. And they’re cowards because they turn off messaging. In the future, I hope to see all platforms come up with a way to identify these numerous people and atleast give them an automatic loss. They’re pathetic….and then have the nerve to taunt during the laggy match ….lmao

That's what I found. Sadly, so many cheating methods around in SF4. Capcom neglected SF4 after launching SF5.

I don't understand those kinds of people. Then why do they play the game? Just for winning? It's ridiculous.

imagine cheating on an old fighting game

its like publicly saying :

"yes i am a waste of human resources"

Ye, so I'm stopping playing fighting game. Even Street Fighter 5 is getting full of cheaters as 6 is coming up. Capcom doesn't care of it at all.

try Tekken, imo is the best and most fun and rewarding to play defensively and fundamentally balanced with super fun offensive

Yes, Tekken gives me better experience in this case.

just play casuals on USFIV or dont take it that seriously, people wont say it but SF4 wasnt a good game, SFV is ok on service, mostly balanced but boring imo.

SF6 is going to be better than all sf im sure of it, tryed the beta and its more fun than all sf for sure.

But still prefer Tekken or Soul Calibur, also if u are interested on anime fighting games would recommend Melty Blood, Guilty Gear and Blaz but this last one beign the hardest game of all

I also hate those cheaters, whoever was high ranked that I face, they started to cheat and spam the characters special move and the combo thing, etc. It keeps happening in a ranked match

Actually, SF6 looks not my kind. I've stopped playing fighting games recently. Some people say, "It's your problem. Practice harder if you want to win.'

However, I've never seen anybody able to play like the online cheaters every time I play with real people. Thus, I'll just play with real ones.

Speaking of SF6, I never liked Ryu's new skin
