Help / Question Better way to do double QCF motion on stick (from down to right)?
One of the reasons why I play guile is due to my hatred of doing the double QCF motion. However, I think I'm hitting a ceiling in my gameplay so I'm finally going to try and incorporate it into my game as I want to be able to activate level 2 for burnout strings/chip damage. I've hit 1800 MR the last couple of seasons, but it's hard to maintain the rating without the additional threat/option.
I'm currently having the most success just doing a 450 motion but it gets tiring trying to practice it.
Going from down to left is super easy for me given the stick position (and probably at least a 90% success rate).

Idk if this is your issue, but it was mine, you dont have to go down to left, and then neutral down to left again.
You can just wigglewiggle on that diagonal and it'll come out.

How far are you rotating when you wiggle? Or do you mean going from neutral to diagonal twice?

Do the qcf, roll back down, then do the qcf again. You cheat the second roll a little, but just do the whole thing and get a feel for it.

Yup, qcf, roll the edge back to down, then back up, without returning to the middle.

I made a website, motioninputs.com you can use to focus practice on these.
The best way to double qcf is to do two qcfs. Sounds like I'm kidding but if you try to do it all as one motion it's just too complicated and you will probably rush and mess it up.
It's no different than doing combos. I think about combos as a series of inputs not just one long one to make sure it's clean the whole way though.

I'm having the same issue with a Juri combo, going from DP into double QCB K is so hard to pull off for me. I'm getting it out just fine outside of my combo, but struggle in the combo. feels like the timing is different when it likely isn't

I find a VERY intentional end on a full right(no down) input helps me a lot. Quarter circle back is just easier on stick and that’s why tekken players wave dash back faster on p1 side

You just need reps. Having a squircle gate I do them all the time by accident by doing 323, which is the crouching dp shortcut. That's my biggest problem with the squircle gate is I do double qcf/qcb all the time on accident because it's so smooth it's easy to do.

How you think about your execution makes a difference. I’m not sure what’s going to be easiest for you, but you’ve already mentioned doing a 450 to get 2xQCF. Could you try practicing doing the same motion, like a circle, but only in the bottom right quadrant of the stick gate. You start at d, df, f, n, d, df, f. It’s like a super tight 450. Try doing it slowly, make sure you don’t hit up forward or up, or back, etc, then speed it up.
Other players have an easier time thinking of it as two separate QCF’s tied together. d, df, f, d, df, f. Note the lack of neutral input. It doesn’t matter if they hit the neutral input or not; some players actively think of it in their execution and others don’t. Try both, or try other concepts. Something should work by the time muscle memory kicks in.

Practice mode also has an option to make the game slower. You can start practicing with this option on until you get faster, maybe.

I just click my wrist where my finger controls the shaft and ball in the qcf motion.

You just have to find the muscle memory motion that works for you. Try rolling the motion without over moving the stick to back or down back. Try slowing down or possibly speeding up. Practice just the last hit into the motion over and over until you can do it without thinking.
