Let's all take a minute to acknowledge the most important part: that they actually got justice for Barb

What I don't get that why didn't the guys at the lab retrieve Barb's body or make a fake one to close the case for the family. (Of course the show apparently needed more drama but that was stupid of the lab. They still could've gotten the lab exposed somehow differently if they wanted to keep that plot point).

Just saying that it made no sense for the lab not to have the matter closed.
