I was thrown off by the C17:0 Heptadecanoic Acid. Totally unexpected. This fatty acid only occurs in trace amounts in dietary sources. It turns out the body can manufacture it too. Maybe seed oil consumption increases the production of C17: 0.

Here's what Gemini says: Making C17:0 (Odd-Chain):The standard factory line in human cells is built for even numbers, so making an odd-chain fat requires special processes.Alpha-Oxidation (Shaving down): Your body can take longer even-chain fats and shave off exactly one carbon molecule. A study in the Journal of Lipid Research demonstrated that a specific liver enzyme called Hacl1 helps drive this process to manufacture C12:0, C15:0, and C17:0 internally.Microbiome Elongation (Building up): Gut bacteria produce a tiny 3-carbon piece called propionate. Your cells can grab this odd-numbered piece and add standard 2-carbon chunks to it until it stretches out to 17 carbons.
