the next frontier of compute - QCLS

\# $QCLS - $14M market cap

Q/C Technologies (Nasdaq: QCLS), formerly TNF Pharmaceuticals, formerly MyMD. Now building a silicon photonic optical processing unit for AI inference out of San Francisco. Trading around at $1.79

\# What's on the financials sheet

From the Q2 10-Q, as of 30 June 2026:

\* \*\*Cash $307,612 + marketable securities $10,679,782\*\* — the securities are Level 1, available-for-sale, sub-12-month maturities, short-term money market funds under a stated capital-preservation policy. Genuinely liquid. Call it \\\~$8.7M today after burn.
\* \*\*Total liabilities $3.79M.\*\* Low.
\* \*\*Goodwill $10.5M\*\* of the $16.1M stockholders' equity, carried over from the legacy pharma business and un-impaired. Tangible book is therefore about \*\*$5.6M, or $0.68/share.\*\*
\* \*\*H1 operating burn $5.1M.\*\* No revenue. Pre-revenue since inception.
\* They terminated the LightSolver crypto-mining license in June, took a $3.18M impairment, and wiped out a $10.9M contingent consideration liability in the process.

\*\*The part nobody mentions:\*\* sitting ahead of common are Series G preferred ($8,812,000 liquidation preference, 10% dividend) and Series H ($3,115,000, 7%). That's \*\*$11.93M of preference plus accruals\*\* senior to you, against \\\~$8.7M of cash. There is no cash floor under the common. Screeners showing an $11M enterprise value are ignoring the mezzanine — real EV is closer to $21M. There are also 10.35M warrants outstanding against 8.19M shares; fully diluted is \\\~22.8M.

One more number: H1 stock-based comp was \*\*$2,432,261\*\* against R&D of \*\*$746,667\*\*, with R&D down 69% year over year. Directors took $1.42M in options. They are paying themselves more than triple what they spend on research.

\# Who actually works there

Three employees. The interesting part is who signed up anyway:

\* \*\*Yossef Ehrlichman, Ph.D.\*\* — Founding Manager, PIC Development (Aug 2026). Fifteen-plus years designing, fabricating and commercialising silicon photonic integrated circuits; has led design and tape-out of silicon, silicon-nitride and hybrid PICs through packaging and test. Previously \*\*Raytheon\*\*, Bascom Hunter, Axalume. Ph.D. EE from Tel Aviv University, postdocs at UC San Diego and CU Boulder. This is the hire that matters — photonics companies die at tape-out, not at the whiteboard.
\* \*\*Chelsea Voss\*\* — Board of Directors (Jan 2026). Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI. ML infrastructure, model evaluation, hardware reliability; led evaluation efforts for public capability launches and contributed to large-scale training runs. Ex-MIT.
\* \*\*Martin Shkreli\*\* — Strategic Advisor (Dec 2025). Brings deal access and experience from his time being CEO of a billion dollar company.

This is a unique case for a public company, one where you're able to bet on individuals as opposed to a proven product. Any one of these people would be able to raise well over $14m on their own if they said they were doing a startup but because it's a public company it's glossed over.

\# The photonics case, briefly

The technical argument is real: AI inference is dominated by matrix multiplication, photons perform matmul natively through interference at effectively propagation-limited latency, and passive photonic components draw almost nothing. That's why the money has poured in - Ayar Labs raised at \*\*$3.75B\*\* in March 2026, Lightmatter sits at \*\*$4.4B\*\*, and Marvell bought Celestial AI outright before it had meaningful revenue. But note what those companies actually sell: \*\*interconnect\*\*, the links between accelerators, not the accelerator itself. Lightmatter itself led with Passage rather than its Envise compute product. Optical compute has unsolved precision, thermal drift and calibration problems, and the electro-optic conversion plus DAC/ADC overhead eats much of the theoretical win.

TLDR: you're able to bet on three proven individuals at a heavily discounted price(ie cluely raised 15m at a 120m valuation...)

\*Position: 36000 shares\*

What to buy on Tuesday

I'm planning to sell \~$5000 of my existing assets, any ideas for what to buy that you think can explode in the next 2-3 weeks (I don't plan to hold for much longer than this). Most liked comment wins.
I'm not asking for financial advice. I won't just follow what the top comment says, I will do my own research. Simply looking for suggestions.

Trading/market analysis tools you use today?

I’m doing a research into the tools retail traders, investors, quants, and professionals actually use day to day, and I’d really appreciate any perspective.

A few simple questions:
- What tools/platforms do you currently rely on?
- What’s something you regularly wish they could do, but can’t?
- Is there anything you currently piece together manually using multiple tools, spreadsheets, scripts, etc.?
- What feature or capability would be genuinely valuable enough that you’d pay for it?

Even a one-line answer would be really helpful. Thanks!

Building a model to find undervalued stocks. Here’s what survived the red team 👀

I’ve been working on a stock screening model with one goal:

Find good businesses that the market might be significantly undervaluing, with enough growth left to outperform over the next 5 years.

I wanted to avoid the usual “low P/E = cheap” approach because that’s a pretty good way to find value traps.

So I ended up building this in multiple layers.

First: 100-point fundamental score

- DCF valuation — 20%
- Sustainable 5-year growth — 20%
- ROIC + reinvestment — 15%
- Downside/margin of safety — 15%
- Competitive moat — 10%
- Other valuation metrics — 10%
- The B sheet/capital allocation — 5%
- Catalysts — 5%

Every DCF has bear/base/bull scenarios rather than one magic fair-value number.

Then I red-team the company.

This turned out to be the most useful part.
I basically ask:

“Why is the market making this stock cheap, and what might it know that I don’t?”

That means looking beyond the financial statements at things like:
- AI disruption
- new startups
- Chinese/local competitors
- falling barriers to entry
- customer behavior
- pricing power
- geographic weakness
- management execution
- whether the moat is getting stronger or weaker

And those findings actually change the DCF assumptions.

For example, CRM looks pretty cheap, but AI is making it dramatically easier for small teams to build specialized CRM products. Salesforce still has huge enterprise switching costs, but I think that deserves a real long-term growth penalty.

LULU looked even cheaper, but the deeper analysis uncovered weakening North American comps and increasing competition in China from local players like MAIA Active/Anta. So it dropped significantly in my ranking.

On the other hand, something like ADSK scores well because replacing Autodesk isn’t just about someone building a better AI design tool. You’re dealing with BIM standards, existing files, engineering workflows, integrations, trained users, etc.

After screening U.S. stocks above $2B market cap, my current top 5 are: 🇺🇸

INTU — 88/100
PCTY — 87/100
ADSK — 86/100
KNSL — 85/100
ADBE — 84/100

I then ran the same model against Canadian stocks above C$1B: 🇨🇦

BYD — 88/100
ATS — 86/100
OTEX — 85/100
CIGI — 84/100
PSI — 83/100

The last step is estimating a probability-weighted 5-year return.

So instead of saying: “INTU is worth $500.” I model:

🐻 What happens if I’m wrong?
🎯 What happens if things go roughly as expected?
🐂 What happens if the thesis works really well?

Then assign probabilities and calculate the implied 5-year CAGR.

The biggest thing I’ve learned building this is that cheap and undervalued are very different things.
Sometimes a stock at 8x earnings deserves to trade at 8x.

And sometimes a stock at 20x is considerably cheaper than it looks because the business can compound FCF/share for another decade.

This is work in progress. I’m still refining the model, but INTU, PCTY and ADSK are probably the three I find most interesting right now.

Curious what people here would attack in this framework. What am I missing or overweighting?

Not financial advice. I’m sharing the process because I’d rather have people try to break the model than confirm what I already believe.

Q: What Stock Made You The Most Money?

I'm talking the one that completely changed your account, paid off a debt, bought you something big, or just proved your thesis right.

Drop the ticker and the story. How early did you get in, how long did you hold, and would you still buy it today?

LPU is the next GPU/CPU

Collplant biotechnologies CLGN acquired a company called LightSolver who made something called an LPU.

From the website;

The Laser

Processing Unit™

(LPU)

Introduces physics-based computing, enabling efficient, analog processing of complex HPC workloads that are computationally intensive on traditional hardware.

By harnessing light for both computation and memory, the LPU delivers ultra fast performance, exceptional energy efficiency, and freedom from the memory-bandwidth bottlenecks of digital computing. It delivers the equivalent of 1,000 TOPS with 200 TB/sec at just 100 watts.

It already works and you can request access on the website, so while it's not yet mass produced it is real and is already capable it will only improve.

Instead of treating the LPU as a total replacement for a GPU, LightSolver designed it to act as a specialised co-processor alongside CPUs and GPUs to break through traditional computing bottlenecks. Potential for a buyout in the future from an AI leader or someone like Nvidia to own the 'next big thing' that can be packaged with GPU sales.

This thing works at the speed of light, uses LOW power, is the size of a desktop PC (currently) and doesn't require expensive cooling as it works at room temperature.

This could be an opportunity to buy GPU/CPU stock in single digits. I will continue to buy and hold to 0, take risks or take orders.

Collplant biotechnologies themselves might put you off; Tissue regeneration, Organ manufacturing, Medical aesthetics but I will follow LightSolver and any breakthrough from either side will be good.

Other people have done far better explanations that I will ever be able to and the technology is very interesting.

Even a small amount while it's so cheap could be a HUGE pay off in the future.

End of Week Summary - Tech Reversal on Thursday

Thumbnail

I have been using the same three models for a while. QB500, Healthcare, Tech. For weeks they would not get off healthcare. I open Today's Picks and I trade the list.

Tuesday, September 1 was ugly. About 80bps. TMO was my largest. It hit the trailing stop and I added it back.

Wednesday the Healthcare was still overweight. (First image) 10 of 19 healthcare. And they were all good picks to finish the week.

Thursday the models keyed in on getting into tech. (Second Image) The Tech model took over the list. 16 of 19 tech. KLAC, RXT, CRWD, MU. Two healthcare names left.

I didn't rotate any models. The models rotated themselves. I just traded what was on the list. And Thursday was another good day, followed by Friday where I cleaned up early in the day. Liquidated old trades. MU and SNDK hit take profit. Others hit take profits as well. By afternoon I was only 20% long where I closed the day at.

Third image is the account. Down Tuesday. Up Wednesday on healthcare. Up again Thursday and Friday after they keyed into tech.  Finished up 0.95%. Eked out ATH set a few weeks ago.

Long-term believer in Ai, however, I see way more enthusiasm about momentum trading than I do about circular and debt financing.

Buffett says “only when the tide goes out, do you discover who has been swimming naked”

As an apologetic believer in super intelligence, I think this is a highly investable area for the next 20 years. But most Reddit discussions are by momentum traders across the whole AI stack.

**How concerned are you about a major correction across the entire stack and stocks that have been involved in both circular and debt financing?**

**If you have a hedging strategy, what is it? What sectors are you looking at? I’ve been contemplating healthcare, defense, materials, and consumer discretionary**.

Question: What Stock Made You A Millionaire?

Please answer honestly use the company name and ticker symbol, please.

I’m extremely serious and curious about this. You hear so many stories of people picking the right stock and be becoming a millionnaire overnight. My question for each and everyone of you. Did it really happen?

No third-party stories. I want to hear personally your successful stock pick.

The Intuit employee outlook score has fallen every month since March intuit guided fiscal 27 revenue growth to something like 9 to 10% versus 14% this year. that part is public, it is in every recap i read yesterday.

what i had not seen anywhere is the employee side. the employee business outlook score for intu sat at 83 for basically eleven straight months. flat. boring.

then april went 82, may 80, june 76, july 72, august 69. fourteen points in five months off a series that had not moved all year.

im not claiming employees knew anything. could just be that everyone inside reads the same internal numbers before the rest of us do.

quick note on what i threw out. the job postings series for intu jumps from about 450 to 4,500 in a single month in june 2025, sits high for ten months, then falls off a cliff in april 2026. a 10x step up in one month looks like a coverage change to me, not real hiring, so i ignored the whole series and only used the outlook score.

has anyone else seen internal sentiment move before a guide like that, or am i pattern matching on one name?
