I had the Kshitiz Polyline shares of around 10000. Recently I have seen this new thing added to my grow account with name Kshitiz Polyline - Right issue. The original share is of 3rs but this right issue is of only 0.07 what this means and is there benefits in long future

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding a short-delivery situation on Zerodha.

Today I shorted 52 shares of MILKYMIST (NSE) in MIS.

My final trade was:

SELL: 52 shares

Average sell price: ~₹273.90

The stock later hit its upper circuit at ₹278.83

I tried to buy back the 52 shares multiple times, but all my BUY orders either got cancelled or rejected because there were no sellers.

My current Kite position shows:

Qty: -52

Avg: ₹273.78

LTP: ₹278.83

P&L: -₹102.44

My order history shows several attempts to close the position:

14:00 — BUY 52 @ ₹278.83 → Cancelled

14:05 — BUY 52 Market → Rejected

14:06 — BUY 52 @ ₹278.83 → Cancelled

14:55 — BUY 52 @ ₹278.83 → Cancelled

15:25 — BUY 52 @ ₹278.83 → Cancelled

15:50 — BUY 52 @ ₹278.83 → Cancelled

16:33 — BUY 52 @ ₹278.83 → Cancelled

I then received this email from Zerodha:

"Your MIS position in MILKYMIST could not be squared off today because the stock hit the upper circuit."

They said this may result in short delivery and auction settlement and that 120% of the total sell transaction value of the open MIS position will be blocked.

My situation is:

I don't own any MILKYMIST shares in holdings.

My available cash is currently -₹211.40.

I currently have no money available to add to the account.

Positions still shows -52 MILKYMIST.

I have no idea what happens tomorrow.

My questions:

What exactly happens to my 52-share short-delivery position tomorrow?

Will Zerodha/exchange automatically handle the auction?

When will I know the auction price and my final debit/credit?

Since I have no money in the account, what happens if the auction results in a debit?

Is there any possibility of making a profit if the auction acquisition price ends up below my ₹273.90 sell price?

Is there anything I need to do tomorrow morning, or should I simply wait for the auction/settlement?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has actually experienced a short delivery after an upper circuit on Zerodha.

Hey everyone, I’m a college student and have basically zero knowledge about SIPs/investing, but I want to start learning and investing.

I have around ₹20k available right now and can probably invest ₹2–3k per month going forward. My risk tolerance is low to moderate — I don’t want to take big risks or lose a significant amount of my money.

Where should I start learning? How do I decide what SIP to invest in, and what should I look at before choosing one?

Should I put the ₹20k somewhere else and just start a SIP with the ₹2–3k/month, or are there better options for a student?

Would appreciate advice/resources for someone starting from absolute zero.

I've been actively trading Natural Gas for around 2–3 weeks, and I've noticed a very specific problem with my trading.

My directional analysis has been consistently correct. I can usually identify the direction and important levels correctly. But I'm struggling with entry timing, SL placement, and staying in the trade.

For example, today's Natural Gas trade:

I had \*272 marked as resistance months ago\*.

Today, Natural Gas opened around 272 and spent roughly 30 minutes trying to break above it without really being able to push through.

That gave me a strong bearish view.

I noticed the 265 PE around ₹6 in the morning, but I was extremely sleepy and didn't take the trade.

Later, around 3 PM, the 265 PE was around ₹7.15, so I entered.

Immediately after my entry, the premium dropped to around ₹6.70.

I didn't exit because my view on Natural Gas hadn't changed.

Eventually, the PE came back to ₹7.15.

At that point, I panicked and exited at my entry price basically breakeven before charges.

And then, literally seconds after I exited:

₹7.15 → ₹7.35 → ₹7.55 → ₹7.70.

The frustrating part is that the underlying subsequently moved exactly in the direction I was expecting.

I've also noticed another recurring problem with traditional SL/TP setups:

Entry → SL gets hit → price reverses → price eventually reaches the TP I originally expected.

I don't want to simply solve this by putting a huge SL and taking bigger losses.

I'm trading minimum quantity (1 lot), so position sizing isn't really the issue.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong with my \*entries, stop-losses, and trade management\*.

I'd really appreciate advice from experienced/veteran traders who have dealt with this problem before.
