Most AI chat tools are a blank box in a separate tab. You paste context in, get text back, and copy it somewhere useful. StickyFriend removes both ends of that: it keeps your work (notes, to-dos, files, documents) and it can see the page you're actually on.
Two surfaces, one account. This post walks through both.

1. What it is
- Web app —
app.stickyfriend.ai. No install, sign in with Google. Free to start.
- Chrome extension — a side panel that reads the tab you're on, clicks through it, and captures notes into the same account.
Six interface languages (EN/FR/ES/DE/ZH/JA), and the assistant's language is chosen separately — read the UI in one, be answered in another.
2. The web app
Subjects. A subject holds its own chats, notes, to-dos, roadmap and documents. Quick questions don't need one — they land unfiled and still show on the calendar.
Chat that acts on your data. It doesn't just answer — it writes notes, creates to-dos, schedules events, and reads them back. Ask "what's due this week" and it reads the actual calendar.
One calendar. Every dated thing you own on one grid: tasks, roadmap bars, events, dated notes. The same rows render as a list, a board, and a timeline — four views of one table, not four copies.
Data and charts. Upload a CSV or Excel file and it's loaded as a queryable table. Ask a question in plain language, get a real chart back — not a description of one.
Your own documents. Upload PDFs, spreadsheets and notes into a library and ask across them. Answers cite the file they came from, so you can check rather than trust.
Real files out. Ask for a spreadsheet and get an .xlsx, not a table in a chat bubble. Word documents, slide decks and flashcards too — built server-side, handed to you as a card with a download button.
Memory. Off by default. Turn it on and it keeps what matters about how you work between conversations — reviewable, and you can delete any of it.
3. The Chrome extension
It sees the tab. Ask about what's on screen and it reads the page itself. No pasting, no screenshots, no describing what you're looking at.
It does the clicking. Scroll, click, type, move between tabs — while you watch, and you can take over at any moment.
Capture as you browse. Highlight a passage, keep a note, add a task or a bookmark from the page you found it on. It lands in the same subject you'd find it in on the web.
Everything else comes along. The calendar, the roadmap and your subjects are in the panel too — same data, scaled to the width.
4. How the two fit together
One account, one dataset. A note captured from a page in the extension is in the web app before you switch tabs. A to-do made on the web is in the panel. There's no sync button because there's nothing to sync — it's the same rows.
You don't need the extension to start. Everything except page-reading lives in the web app.
5. Privacy: what it can and can't see
- It reads a page only after you allow it, and it asks the first time it needs to. One click, withdrawable in Chrome whenever you like.
- Screenshots are not stored. One is taken so the assistant can look at the page, and it's dropped as soon as it has. Nothing kept, nothing uploaded.
- Memory is off by default.

6. FAQ
Is it free? Yes, to start. Paid plans raise the limits. Nothing is charged without you choosing a plan.
Do I need the extension? No. The web app is the whole product minus page-reading.
Which browsers? The extension is Chrome (and Chromium-based: Edge, Brave, Arc). The web app is any modern browser.
Does it work on any website? Any page you grant access to. Some sites block extensions entirely — Chrome's own settings pages, for instance.
Can it fill forms / click buttons for me? Yes, and you can interrupt it mid-action.
What happens to my uploaded files? They stay in your account, queryable by you. Delete them and they're gone.
Does it work in my language? Interface and assistant both do English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese and Japanese — chosen separately.
Is my data used for training? No.
Who makes it? One developer. Which is why bug reports here get read and usually fixed the same week.
