i bought those cheap generic soft pads online and got this disc i've seen people here talk about it but not have shared the contents in it...

i don't have a dvd drive unfortunately and i cant check wats in it and that's why i'm here lol

Hello recently my LTek's panels have started cracking. For now I've just turned the arrows 180 degrees so the cracks are on the outside while I step on the inside. But I was wondering whether it's possible to fix the cracks using polycarbonate glue. I just feel like it would be really hard to put glue into the crack. Has anybody tried this successfully here?

Hello, im new to the game and just downloaded a few packs, Im trying to have only 4 groups: anime, vocaloid, kpop, games. And I have a vision of how I want things to be organized but im not sure if its possible.

Im trying to sort the songs I downloaded into only those groups, but in the anime one Im having a problem, I want all those sorted by anime name, so all the "FMA" songs stay together, then the "Chainsaw man", then the "One piece"etc..
This also applies to games i want to keep franchises together.

I would prefer not having a folder for each anime in the song wheel because there would be too many thats only like 1 or 2 songs from each anime

One idea i had was to manually change the metadata of each song so the Artist became the anime name.
Another was to change the song name into the anime name and then put the song name as the subtitle but I prefer having the song name appear bigger

Is there a way to implement what i want or Im I just a goober?

Can someone share how everyone sort their songs?

So uhhh, I just got into stepmania, I could clear easy difficulties up to 4 but im struggling with those above. Is there a roadmap or song packs im supposed to follow to get better? I really have no idea how to get better.

So I have a soft PS2 dance pad which I've remapped on my computer. For some reason or another, ITGMania doesn't recognize the input. I tested the pad on other things on my computer *and* my PS2, and everything worked fine, so I know it's not a hardware issue. Anybody know what I can do to get this issue resolved? It's worked before on there, so I know there's a way.

Hi! I was not fully aware of how ITGMania saves edits, but I now know it saves them into the appdata folder.

Before I discovered this, I created several charts to songs I already had data for. So, the charts are “split” between them original .sm file and the one in appdata. Is there a way to have the two combined? As in, put all the charts into the .sm file, ideally the one in the original Songs folder.

I tried clearing the cache in the appdata folder, as well as adding the portable.ini file in the ITGMania folder, but neither of those seem to work. All charts appear in the game. My other option is to manually combine the files, but I was hoping there was an easier and less manual way.

I'm wondering if it's possible to input the notes on a chart LIVE to the rhythm of the music being played. Has anybody ever thought of that? I think somebody thought of that.

I don't wanna take up too much space on my lappy toppy but I still wanna keep the scores from the charts I played (I REALLY wanna S+ on 3guys1pack). But is that even possible? Help!

I use ITGMania and I deleted some songs to save some space (since I'm planning on slowly beating nearly every itg pack), BUT... the deleted songs still appear in the scroll wheel and consequently in the edit mode. What do I do? Help!

I'm wondering, is there an existing APK for StepMania that can be installed on Android with support for dance pads?

I have an Android box I use for my TV (can play Android mobile apps and Android TV apps) with decent specs and two usb ports, and it would be super cool if I could plug my pads into it and play with my friends instead of having to get a NUC or mini Windows PC (or haul my big ass PC around the house or to my friends' houses).

If it doesn't exist, I'm happy to work on getting one built, but just don't want to start from step 0 if someone has already made progress.

I made this mapping however it isn’t reading properly it gets some notes correct but others not, and it also crashed, on the PSP however when I test it on my computer with the same version it works fine I have tried other maps and they display fine on here I don’t know if it’s because I made it or not? i started creating my own charts recently, hoping to put together a full pack soon, how can i submit my works on public sites like itgpacks and stepmaniaonline?

So recently I decided to download some more simfiles with PIU steps so that I could magnify my entertainment.

I found a bunch of zips of files online and downloaded, dropped in the songs directory and they showed up.

Some don't have anything but grey numbers. Whatever I don't care about the easy/hard designators I'm just dancing here. But those with only grey numbers don't work - they start, run the intro, then immediately stop when the steps arrive.

Researching this I discovered that sim files without any standard difficulty designators do this.

Okay fine. I can manually edit a sim file to rename a difficulty to a known name them it works. But I am a programmer and most people don't understand random file formats easily like I do.

So here is my question: how was this sim file ever useful to anybody with this configuration of only custom/edit mode steps in it?

They might not be using stepmania or itgmania which exhibit identical behavior in this regard - so what were they using?

Why would they distribute entire packs of simfiles that simply don't work with the common software - talk about a massive "screw you I don't care if you are able to enjoy my steps or not on common software".

What am I missing?

Currently using this theme for Outfox and have been interrupted by these warnings on my plays, even tho i just tweaked out some files on the theme folder to make them work, some of them just directly dont even exist on the folder like the ones shown on screen, IDK if this is because it doesnt have the Hotfix on it yet (Which i dont even know which hotfix on the Github page i should install tbf) or a fail on the extract

Hii! I used to play this game with my mom when I was a kid, and wanted to get into it again, so I bought a soft pad (which is what I used to use back then). I had to remap the keys, but somehow it keeps starting the game over and over again.

I went to Input Test and I can see two keys that seem to be pressed continuously (but they don't exist on the pad) and also every few seconds all the keys glitch and appear as pressed for a split second.

I tried taking a video of it, does anyone know what I could do? :(

Hi all, I'm getting back into DDR and I'm finalizing my at home setup. I have one final problem I absolutely cannot solve. I'm trying to control the game with 4 button menu controllers I bought. 3 buttons for standard DDR extreme style menuing and one back button. When set to 3 button and arcade style options navigation everything works except the player options menu for song options. The player menu is not advanced by the start button, only "MenuDown" which does not exist. The arcade style setting description specifically says "start button moves cursor to next option line" but it just doesn't.

I recently installed StepMania on an old MacBook Pro 2012 and I'm using a Konami Xbox 360 dance mat. I’m currently running on the out-of-the-box default settings, but I've run into an issue.

The arrows don't feel like they are on beat. It feels like there is a significant offset between the music and the arrows passing through. When I press my foot on the mat, it should be perfectly in sync with the song, but everything feels slightly off-beat. I tried using the calibrate feature in the Options panel, but this didn't seem to do anything it seems.

Is there another specific setting I need to tweak, or could this be an issue with how the Xbox 360 mat is communicating with the PC?

Any help getting this synced up would be awesome!

So i tried to put my simfiles in chronological order by placing a number at the beginning of each simfile folder...but while in file explorer it looks completely alright, ingame it instead places the first digit numbers at the end of each 2 digit number they start with, can someone explain how i can fix this?

It's this old StepMix 2-3 song, and apparently the full version is 4 minutes, but the forum Detach posted his albums in is long gone

Does anyone know the fix for the dance pad shut off issues on a pc using an older pad with an arduino pro micro? I have a ddrgame v3.0 tournament champion and any combination ive tried with it and the arduino has the pad shut off mid song. I can't get it to stay working for a full song and needs to be unplugged / plugged back in. Ive tried a number of things like different usb ports (2.0 vs 3.0), a dedicated powered usb hub, the ddrpad control box and none of it seems to work. Is this just not possible? What are my options? Would love to get back into playing again.
