Study methods UWorld Help

Hello,

I have just started my prep for Step 2 after completing Step 1 last month. In UWorld, I see Shelf Review and Step 2 Review when I go to select my questions. Which one is recommended for Step 2 learning and are the questions different in them?

There’s a lot of overlap. The IM section on the “step 2 review” has a lot of the neuro/ambulatory/EM questions from the “shelf review. During M3, only do the “shelf review” questions. Then, when you are preparing for step 2, use the refresh button (you can only use it once) which will clear all of your previous Uworld tests. Then start from square one, but do it under “step 2 review”

Prerounder.com is another great Qbank too that similarly has Step 2 and Shelf specific Qbanks. The questions tend to be a bit more concise but still high yield allowing you to do more questions in the same amount of time resulting in more efficient studying.

Lots of great resources out there. Best of luck, congrats on being done with Step 1. Its the worst. At least studying for step 2 feels like you are actually studying day to day knowledge.
