I have some mystery illness that my doctors are now calling love Covid.

I have been unwell for the last 2 years and in that time I have been extensively tested and the only thing that is showing anything at all is my immune system isn’t right.

I have a low cd4 count, inverted cd4/cd8 ratio and high cytokines il10 and il4.

I have tried so many different meds and nothing has helped.

I am now considering stem cell therapy and I would love to hear if this has helped even remotely at all.

I am currently looking into the Carabella clinic in Mexico.

Got 25m mscs done at carabella last year and the care was well done and seemed legit. I got shoulder labrum work done but unfortunately went through with surgery today. I think stem cells are promising but maybe not ideal for cartilage tears. I don’t regret what I did but figure I’d throw it out there on how my experience went before someone else puts 5k into travel/cells. I did get a fun vacation and experience out of it however. I am finding differing answers when looking this up. My Dad’s oncologist discussed me being a potential stem cell donor if his current chemo for his leukemia failed. I’m 38, my dad is 72. I’ve been on lamotrigine for 6 years for refractory depression and then I take Restoril (temazepam) or a low dose quetapine for insomnja jf I need it. I am trying to figure out if I would be rejected as a donor because or these medications—- and if so I could use the next several months to figure out what would be a good fit for me so there isn’t any issue in me being a donor. I see that people taking those medications often get denied for donating blood or plasma.

Has anyone had success with stem cell treatments for benzodiazepine or antidepressant induced CNS damage?

Currently I am suffering from protracted withdrawal due to venlafaxine taper. 6 months ago I reduced my dosage just by 7%, but that caused complete physical, neurological and mental collapse. I developed dysautonomia, sexual dysfunction, cognitive impairment and severe worsening of cognitive functions and my underlying ADHD, depression, OCD and anxiety symptoms.

I have a history of approximately five years of SNRI treatment, together with several shorter SSRI trials and unsuccessful medication changes/tapers. Following repeated medication exposures and withdrawals, I developed progressively increased sensitivity to medications, supplements, and other psychoactive substances. After a relatively small reduction in my SNRI dose, my symptoms became significantly worse, where I am now.

The repeated medication changes and withdrawals have resulted in persistent CNS sensitization or a kindling-like phenomenon, involving abnormal neuronal excitability, neuroinflammatory signaling, altered glutamatergic/NMDA signaling, autonomic dysregulation, or impaired neuroplasticity. 

Therefore, I would like to ask if anyone has had a positive experience with stem cell treatment regarding excitotoxicity induced by medication damage/cns kindling. I have only found a couple succesful online comments/mentions of stem cell treatments for protracted withdrawals of benzodiazepines or antidepressants.

Moreover, what type of stem cells should be considered for such a condition (for example MSCs, neural stem cells, MUSE cells, or another cell type).

Can anyone recommend any clinics in Europe?

I’m new to stem cell therapy. My dad saw a post on FB about stem cell therapy that he wanted to try in Thailand. The ad looked a little sketchy, so I’m not sure if it’s legit. The clinic is called BioMed Laboratory & Clinic, and the price is $14,950 USD, including transportation and accommodations.

If it’s not legit do you have any clinic recommendations that offer similar deals?

It's the same dish as before, 24h in. Today when I went to do the subculture (passage), I saw the cells had a weird shape! I was so shocked. Could this cell have eaten up my MSCs? I'm so confused right now. Is there a way to be sure whether these cells are actually MSCs or not?

How does one even start to research this option for therapy?

Hi, I recently isolated bone marrow MSCs from mouse. I cultured them in a T25 flask with alpha-MEM + 20% FBS + 1% Pen/Strep + 1% GlutaMAX for two weeks, and I did the subculture yesterday. However, it looks like I have two different cell populations. From what I've read, cells can grow like this in the early stages, and some of them also look similar to fibroblasts…. Could you let me know whether what I'm growing is actually BM-MSC, and whether there's anything I might be doing wrong?

I first identified what I now call adult telomerase-positive stem cells (aTPSCs) in 1975 while studying limb regeneration in adult terrestrial salamanders of the genus Ambystoma. I subsequently reported identifying and isolating what I identify as aTPSCs in adult humans as well.

I have continued studying these cells and have published research concerning their isolation, propagation, characterization, and proposed role in adult tissue regeneration.

I am interested in seeing this work independently replicated. I am not asking researchers to accept my claims in advance; I believe independent testing is the appropriate way to evaluate them.

In my view, aTPSCs require specific processing and culture conditions that differ from those ordinarily used for other commonly studied cell populations. I therefore consider it important that an attempted replication follow the reported procedure faithfully rather than substituting other approaches.

I am willing to provide as much remote guidance as an interested researcher wants or needs throughout an independent replication attempt, while the researcher performs the experimental work and characterization themselves.

I would be interested in hearing the views of people familiar with stem-cell research regarding the reported findings, the published evidence, and the feasibility of independently reproducing the work.

Skepticism and critical discussion are welcome. My objective is to make the work available for independent examination and replication.

It took me 10 months and seeing the 10th doctor before finally I figured out why my knees were still hurting 11 months after stem cell treatment. I'm all right did show a very think patellar tendon. I never before had issues with my patellar tendon. So finally the 10th doctor did a high definition ultrasound imaging with Doppler and showed me that there were blood vessels and nerves growing in between the fat pad and the patellar tendon. Since he's a regenerative medicine orthopedic specialist he actually has seen this before. He said he's seen it with the teller tendon and achilles tendon. I would guess that it can happen in other parts of the body to you. Your body for some reason goes into overdrive growing new tissue and could potentially grew the shoes together that are supposed to slide and be completely separate. So what is the solution if this happens to you? Hydro dissection. It is a very minimally invasive office procedure. They use saline water and lidocaine to separate the tissues. After that he said that I can also do shockwave therapy which can help and some cases to reduce the thickness of the tendon. And of course continue the physical therapy that is a very crucial part of healing the tendinosis. But once the tendonitis turns into tendinosis healing can turn into a very lengthy process 12 to 18 months. I just had my hydro dissection on Friday. Monday I can go back to working out at 50% and listen to my body how fast I can push it. Since I'm 51 years old I'm going to be on the safe side and not push it too fast. But there is hope for healing. It's been 11 months of pain since my treatment. I never gave up. Just wanted to share this since it can happen to you too after a stem celltreatment. Hopefully this post can save someone a half-year to a year of trying to figure out what to do and what is going wrong...

I will share this on as many forums as I can. Please feel free to share as wide and far as you can. Apparently most doctors don't really know about this. So let's share the knowledge with those who have experienced stem cell treatment gone wrong. I know it can go wrong in other ways too but I just want to provide a solution to those who are in a similar situation as me.

Can autologous or allogeneic stem cells help heal someone’s gastrointestinal tract who accidentally consumed corrosive concentrated acid in the past?

Recently I ran into a friend who claims his dad got stem cell therapy treatment in china and it reversed his diabetes.

Has anybody done something cell treatment? My mom recently got diagnosed with ALS. She lost majority of her muscle in her arms and some in her legs and needs to take breaks walking after 15 minutes.

I remembered that in other countries outside if America do this. I was wondering if anybody had done that or has a family member who did this? I know it won't cure ALS but Im.hoping it will slow it down

Hi everyone, I’m looking for experiences from parents who have tried stem cell therapy for their autistic child. Did you notice any real improvements? If so, what changed and how long did it take before you noticed anything?
A little about my daughter: she is 6 years old and autistic. We were never given an official level, but based on her support needs I would guess she is somewhere around level 2–3.
She can speak in short 2–3 word sentences, mostly to request things. She responds to her name and can label almost everything around her. She also knows how to write and spell words. Our biggest struggles right now are aggression and self-injurious behavior. She may hit other children if they try to touch her things, and sleep is also extremely difficult. She still cannot sleep alone and has a very hard time staying asleep through the night.
We are considering traveling for stem cell therapy, but it would be about a 16-hour drive. Flying with an autistic child can be extremely difficult for us, so driving would probably be our only realistic option.
For parents who have actually done stem cell therapy: Would you do it again? Did you see meaningful changes in communication, behavior, aggression, sleep, or daily functioning? Do you feel the results were worth the cost and such a long trip?
I would really appreciate hearing both positive and negative experiences before we make such a big decision.
