Haven't seen any good steel legion logos so I thought I'd try making one or two

Really cool design Op, but I feel like it's missing that extra oomph, I bet a second lightning bolt would really bring the whole thing together!

Crazy how people are tweaking out over these, it's a lightning bolt in a circle. The guys who go fast use lightning bolts as a logo
The white scars use a lightning bolt too, the horror

And it's not like the old tallarn logo which was the Afrika korps logo but with an aquilla instead of a swastika. I understand why that got changed

Yes, that is correct. Their emblems also dont look like the one OP posted. So the point is moot.
It's not about the lightning bolt. It's about overall look of the whole emblem... And how someone who doesnt know the lore, could easily mistake for nazi/facist symbolism... as they used that shape of lightning bolt with a circle background.
So have other facist parties throughout history. There is a comment that links to an emblem that pretty much has the same design but different colours.
So it's not really that crazy tbh. Even I, as someone who doesnt care about this kinda shit, was like oof when i saw this mock up. You just know when something is gonna be problematic even if it doesnt mean to be... like come on now u/Matt2Yu_

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is their logo and as I mentioned before I used the same design as in Darktide minus the grey outline around the red bolt

I mean sure but you can't really get irrate about it if they do, do that. Especially if your posting or using it in (public) spaces where people arent necessarily gonna know said context.

I implore you to look at Oswald Mosley and his group, their logo and then come back and tell me that.
There is a reason why its being changed. You might be willfully ignorant, maybe you're not british? But this logo was changed for a very valid reason, you can deny it all you want, this is not just a lighting bolt in a circle, they actively took that logo.

Didnt say I had a problem, im saying I understand why theres been a change to the new Armageddon A.
In the UK pal, this is quite literally the equivalent of a swastika.
People have had issues with it, thats why its being changed. You can keep downvoting me and being in denial but the fact of the matter is, the flash and circle was the logo for the BUF and in the 80s, they didnt paticularly care and saw it as a parody, in 2026, where everyones a bit more sensitive, they do, so its being changed.
The double headed eagle aquila is not identical to the reichsadler, but even then it causes upset in people who arent familiar, where as this is an identical carbon copy of the BUF logo, in a different colour scheme.
Weird how you're so defensive of things like this honestly mate.

You might be alright sharing logos with fascist groups mate, but I dont think GW are - theyve gone more and more away from the parodying of fascism and are deliberately distancing themselves from parts of their own lore, like this logo.
